Kristin Cavallari and her estranged husband Jay Cutler have been trying to unload their $5 million home for months prior to their divorce announcement.
Earlier today, the two released a joint statement announcing they were headed for divorce after 10 years together. The two were married in 2013 and share three children: two sons and one daughter.
It read, “With great sadness, after 10 years together we have come to a loving conclusion to get a divorce. We have nothing but love and respect for one another and are deeply grateful for the years shared, memories made, and the children we are so proud of. This is just the situation of two people growing apart. We ask everyone to respect our privacy as we navigate this difficult time within our family”
Many friends showed the reality star support on Instagram. One wrote, “Sending you so much love KC. My heart goes out to you and your children ❤️ “
The couple are currently selling their massive 7-bedroom, 10-bathroom, 19,983 sq. ft. mansion in Nashville. They purchased the property for $5.3 million in 2012.
In June 2018, they first put the property on the market for $7.9 million. They failed to catch any bites and slashed the price by a million in April 2019. A couple months later the price was cut down to $5,750,00.
Earlier this year, Kristin and Jay cut the price down to $4.95, where it currently sits. The property description reads, “This impressive Mediterranean influenced villa is comprised of 25 rooms of exquisite interior living space * Upon entering an atmosphere of infused sophistication and casual elegance is obvious throughout * The residence itself is sited on 8.56 acres affording maximum privacy and breathtaking views of the surrounding hills.”
Back in March 2019, the two dropped $4.2 million mansion nearby in Franklin, Tennessee.
