Melinda Gates is coming out of the divorcee gates HOT!
The ex-wife of Microsoft billionaire Bill Gates is getting her groove back with a new man.
And… the identity of her new love interest is no mystery.
Melinda Gates Has A New Love Interest In Her Life
Melinda is dating former Fox News Channel correspondent, Jon Du Pre. This is her first reported relationship since finalizing her divorce from Bill last August.
According to reports, Melinda and Jon were spotted together at a Nets vs. Celtics game back in April, so we can assume they’ve been talking and seeing each other for the past seven months.
It’s unclear how they first met, but things for the new couple seem to be going great.
Melinda, Jon and some members of their families recently hung out at Pelican Hill, which is a five-star hotel in Newport Beach.
Melinda & Jon Were First Spotted Together In April
Jon worked for Fox News Channel in the late ‘90s and early 2000s.
While Melinda has clearly started anew as a 58-year-old single woman, Bill on the other hand is still hung up on his ex-wife.
In May, The Blast reported on the tech billionaire’s desire to remarry Melinda despite their divorce.
The Microsoft CEO opened up to the UK’s Sunday Times about his failed marriage to Melinda.
Bill said he has zero regrets saying “I Do” to Melinda in January 1994.
Bill Gates Would Remarry Melinda All Over Again
“Every marriage as the kids leave the house will go through a transition. Mine sadly went through this transition called divorce,” he told the outlet.
Last year, the Microsoft CEO published an end of year blog post in which he talked about his divorce.
“I know a lot of people are curious about a subject closer to home: my divorce,” he said. “I can’t deny that it’s been a year of great personal sadness for me. Adapting to change is never easy, no matter what it is. I’ve been impressed by how resilient my loved ones—especially my kids—have been in this challenging time.”
Despite the challenges divorce presents, Gates told the Sunday Times, “But from my point of view it was a great marriage. I wouldn’t have changed it. You know, I wouldn’t choose to marry someone else.”
Gates has no plans on walking down the aisle a second time, unless he’s walking down the aisle to re-marry Melinda.
“I [would] marry Melinda all over again. In terms of my future, I don’t have any plans, but I highly recommend marriage,” he added.
Melinda and Gates got married in ’94 after dating for seven years. They have three children together, Jennifer (26), Phoebe (20) and Rory (23).
At the time of their May 2021 divorce, the former couple issued a statement which read, “After a great deal of thought and a lot of work on our relationship, we have made the decision to end our marriage. We continue to share a belief in that mission and will continue our work together at the foundation, but we no longer believe we can grow together as a couple in this next phase of our lives. We ask for space and privacy for our family as we begin to navigate this new life.”
Their divorce was finalized in August 2021.
