Mama June Criminal Court Date Pushed Back Due To Crisis, Jail Sentence Looms

Mama June will have to wait a bit longer to find out if she will be spending time behind bars.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, an Alabama judge has ordered Mama June (real name: June Shannon) criminal trial to be postponed due to the current health crisis.
The reality star was expected to be in court this month, but all hearings have been pushed to the fall.
Back in September 2019, Mama June and her boyfriend Geno Doak were hit with a grand jury indictment. They were both charged with a felony relating to cocaine possession and a misdemeanor for possession of drug paraphernalia.

The Grand Jury found Mama June, “did unlawfully possess a controlled substance-to-wit: Cocaine, in violation of” the law and “did unlawfully possess with intent to use in inject, ingest, inhale or otherwise introduce into the human body, drug paraphernalia, to-wit: a pipe” against the law. They were both arrested and released on $11,000 bond.
Mama June and Geno plead not guilty to the charges in court. They are facing one year behind bars if convicted. Back in March 2019, Mama June and Geno were arrested by police in Macon County, Alabama. The cops were called after the two were arguing at a gas station. The arrest led to the criminal charges being filed against them.

As The Blast first reported, Mama June is currently holed up in a hotel with Geno during the pandemic. The two were MIA for months amid their personal troubles. June, along with her daughters Honey Boo Boo and Pumpkin, have been raking in thousands making personalized videos for fans.
