Condolences Roll In For Aaron Carter's Family After Unexpected Death

Aaron Carter’s death shocked Hollywood. Some celebrities have taken to social media to memorialize the former child star.

The singer was reportedly found dead in his bathtub this morning by a friend. A spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department shared that authorities responded. A call at the Lancaster, California where they confirmed that Carter was deceased.

Not much is known about Carter’s passing yet but he was recently having troubles in his personal life and he has had an ongoing battle with substance abuse for some time.

As the sad news makes the rounds, celebrity friends and people who worked with Carter are reacting to his death.

The singer was also an actor and appeared on a handful of Disney channel shows including Lizzie McGuire and Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Fellow Disney star Christy Carlson Romano of Even Steven fame took to Twitter to express her regret.

“Incredibly sad about the passing of Aaron Carter. My thoughts and prayers go out to his friends and family,” she writes with a candle emoji.

Lyrical genius Diane Warren also shared her condolences. “Fame at a young age is often more a curse than a blessing and Surviving it is not easy. RIP Aaron Carter,” she writes.

R&B singer Sammie, who, rose to fame around the same time as Carter commented on the news posted by TheShadeRoom; “Damn,” he writes. A word never held so much weight.

Loni Love shared a sweet post honoring Carter on her Twitter. “Met Aaron Carter in 2018, funny, talented and cool. I felt that he was trying....he really was just trying to be happy. I'm sorry to hear of his passing.. Condolences to his family and fans ?,” she writes alongside a photo of the singer appearing on The Real.

The 34-year-old was in a battle with his ex-girlfriend Melanie Martin over their 11-month-old son. In February, he filed the necessary legal paperwork to have 'legal and physical custody of the child their child. He accused Martin of domestic abuse and in turn, she accused him of being an unfit parent and abusing substances.

In addition, just before his passing, the actor was pulled over in L.A on suspicion of driving under the influence. After a field sobriety test was conducted and Carter passed, he was allowed to leave.

After the incident, Carter posted on Instagram, "When you do the right thing, you don't get in trouble. Do the right thing, that's what you do." The officers chalked up the weaving on the road as a result of his driving an RV and the high winds at the time.

Seems as though Carter was on the straight and narrow.
