Ne-Yo’s wife Crystal Smith is speaking out following the singer filing for divorce, only to withdraw it days later.
Crystal shared a photo of herself with her finger to her mouth. She wrote, “Sssssshhh. You’re telling my business wrong.” Ne-Yo clearly approved of the message and quickly liked the post.
The cryptic message comes after Ne-Yo dropped his divorce from Crystal.
Earlier this month, Bossip broke the story, Ne-Yo filed for divorce from Crystal in March. The petition citing the marriage as being “irretrievably broken” was filed in Georgia Court. The singer said there was no hope of reconciliation. He requested joint legal custody of their two kids.
Ne-Yo asked the court to enforce the terms of the prenuptial agreement they signed prior to their marriage. The petition asked for their martial assets and debt to be handled per their prenup.
Days after filing, Ne-Yo informed the court he was withdrawing his divorce. Neither has yet to refile the case.
As The Blast previously reported, Ne-Yo and Crystal reportedly broke up earlier this year. The two had been having issues for months and decided to end it. The two have been married since 2016 and share two kids, Shaffer Smith Jr (born 2016) and Roman Alexander-Raj Smith (2018).
The two have been living their best lives after the breakup. Ne-Yo was spotted hanging with belly dancers in Los Angeles while Crystal partied with “Black Ink Crew: Chicago” star Ryan Henry.
Ne-Yo talked about the split saying, “It’s not a sad thing, it’s more of a us realizing us .. long story short … I’m not going to talk bad about her, I’m not that person. There’s nothing bad to say about her. She’s a fantastic woman, she’s the mother of my children. She’s always gonna be there. I will always respect that.”
He continued, “Long story short, she’s got demons just like everyone else. Just like me. Then we realized our demons don’t mesh and until both of us get ahold of our personal demons it’s gonna be difficult for us to stay married. That’s the end of the chapter not the end of the book.”
