The REASON Khloe Kardashian Opposed Tristan Thompson Paying For True's Birthday Party

When it comes to giving True the best, Khloe Kardashian says she doesn't need anyone's help.

The reality star spoke out when her mother, Kris Jenner, informed her that her ex, Tristan Thompson, with whom she shares True, had "privately arranged" to take care of their daughter's fourth birthday celebration.

Jenner was seen trying to persuade Khloe to let Thompson handle the expenses in a clip from Hulu's new episode of "The Kardashian." However, the "Revenge Body" star refused to allow him to take up the expenses, later saying in a confessional that she did not require anyone's assistance to do fancy things for True.

In the latest episode of Hulu's "The Kardashian," Khloe was seen having fun during a bash for her daughter's fourth birthday. However, the reality star's countenance changed after her mother, Jenner, came with news about the father of her child, Thompson.

The momager informed Khloe that the former NBA star had arranged "privately" to pay for the expenses. While the reality star acknowledged that it was a nice gesture, she turned down the offer without a second thought.

Jenner said, per E! News, "Tristan called me, and he said that he privately went ahead and took care of the whole party, to which Khloe replied, "That's nice, but I won't let that happen."

Seemingly unsatisfied with her daughter's response, Jenner tried convincing Khloe to give in to Thompson's generous act.

She added, "He was so excited to do it. You should let him do that. He wanted to do that for her, for her birthday."

However, Khloe reiterated her stance and ended the conversation after giving her mother a quick hug, suggesting she did not want to spark an argument.

While it's still unclear who ended up paying for the expenses, Khloe's added comment during a confessional in the episode suggested that she did not budge on the matter.

She said in the scene, "I work really hard to do elaborate things for True, and I don't need anyone's help."

In another part of the program, she shared her conflicting views about how she would have reacted if Thompson had been able to attend True's birthday party. The former Cleveland Cavaliers player couldn't attend the celebration since he had a game that day. "I don't know if Tristan was here today, if that would add more stress to me," Khloe said in the clip. "We do co-parent really well, but I haven't seen Tristan in person since before Christmas time."

Around that time, Thompson welcomed a child with Maralee Nichols and was embroiled in a paternity lawsuit that the model had filed against him. The scandal from the incident put a full stop to Khloe and Tristan's on-and-off relationship, which first started in 2016.

Months later, news the pair were expecting another child via surrogacy made the headlines; it was noted that the child was conceived before the former NBA star's scandal with Nichols went viral in December 2021.

The pair have since welcomed the child, a baby boy, whom they have yet to reveal his name. Thompson is also a father to son Prince, five, who he shares with his ex Jordan Craig. In the meantime, he and Khloe are still exes, implying that the birth of their child did not change anything.

In a typical Kardashian manner, Khloe took to Instagram on October 30 to give fans a glimpse of her son, which marks her first time doing so since he was born at the end of July 2022.

One of the shots in the pre-Halloween celebration post featured her daughter, True Thompson holding her brother while his face was turned away from the camera. A second photo showed the little one's foot, wearing a Nike sneaker.

The reality star captioned the post "Owlette and Tigger aka True and Baby Brother. (Shhhhh…. But I can't wait for Halloween to be over)," referencing the costumes her kids donned for the photograph.

In the comment section, fans hyped the cute post and urged Khloe to reveal her son's name.
