Demi Lovato Accused of Making Fake IG Account to Hate on Selena Gomez

Demi Lovato is embroiled in controversy once again as fans claim to have discovered a social media account alleged ran by the star to spread negativity about fellow singers like Selena Gomez.

The drama started Friday afternoon when a collage of photos from Lovato's alleged fake Instagram account, aka finsta, leaked online. The account name for the finsta account was "@traumaqueen4eva," and fans claimed it was directly linked to the "Sorry Not Sorry" singer after the account allegedly went live and Lovato showed up on the screen.

The screenshots showed barbs thrown at Lovato's former BFF, Selena Gomez, including hate towards a shared PEOPLE Magazine cover the two did back in the day ... except Lovato's autograph is scribbled over Selena's face.

Within hours, #DemiLovatoIsOverParty began trending on Twitter, with over 100,000 mentions on the social media platform.

Many quickly turned on Lovato and accused her of being fake towards other female stars, like Selena.

"Funny how she has songs about empowerment & courage and positive things when she talks shit about several women on her private page," one fan commented.

Many of Lovato's diehard fans, named Lovatics, are coming to the singer's defense and claiming the circulated images are fake.

However, the Selena stans are adamant that it's real and firing back in the ultimate fan war:

"lovatics keep saying it’s fake, but if it’s fake then why did demi disable comments on her main insta, remove everyone from her followers, change the username, and deactivated instead of defending herself?" one fan challenged.

"#DemiLovatoIsOverParty is trending because Selena Gomez's fans are once again being spiteful, spreading FAKE screenshots of Demi's finsta," a Lovatic responded.

Even though Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez used to be very close, they are no longer close. In a recent interview with Harper's Bazaar, the singer broke the news.

"When you grow up with somebody, you're always going to have love for them, but I'm not friends with her. I will always have love for her, and I wish everybody nothing but the best."

However, Lovato did claim to have a close friendship with Ariana Grande, as the two now share manager Scooter Braun.

"I love the fact that Ariana and I have such a supportive friendship because it's hard to find. Two women who are in a competitive industry - the whole world seems to want to pit women against each other, so it would be so easy to do that. I always long for friendships with women. I think it's so sacred," Lovato explained.
