This week, TLC announced that it would be bringing back 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way. The spinoff was largely popular among fans, and many viewers will be happy to see some familiar faces return in the upcoming season. The series will continue to follow six Americans who are leaving their lives for love abroad.
Fans of the show can look forward to a new episode launching June 1st. The show will bring back two familiar couples and introduce several new ones.
The first new couple consists of Florida resident Brittnay, who is 26. She is in love with 24-year-old Yazan, who lives in Jordan. The two met through Yazan’s sister, and now the Palm Beach girl will adjust to life in a new country with a partner who is a devout Muslim. Brittany worries Yazan’s family will not accept her.
A same-sex couple will be featured on the season too. Kenneth, 57, is from St. Petersburg, Florida. He has fallen in love with 31-year-old Armando from Mexico. The couple met through a support group. Kenneth plans to move to Mexico to live with Armando and his daughter.
Next, 28-year-old Princeton, New Jersey, resident Ariela will move to Ethiopia to be with Biniyam, 29. Ariela is recently divorced. She met Biniyam while traveling the world. She is pregnant with Biniyam’s child and will return to the country for the birth of the baby.
Dallas resident Tim, 34, will move to Colombia to be with Melyza, 29. When they met, Melyza was working as an au pair in the United States. She had to go back home, but they had bonded. Tim lost Melyza’s trust, and now he is moving to her hometown to show her that he loves her.
The first returning couple? Jenny, 61, and Sumit, 32. Jenny traveled from Palm Springs, California, last season to live with Sumit in India. Jenny changed her entire life to move for love, and one day she realized that Sumit was already married to somebody else.
Jenny was forced to return to the United States. In the new season, it appears that Sumit has promised that he is getting a divorce. Jenny will return to India with the hope that things will work out this time.
Deavan and Jihoon will also return this season. Deavan, 23, moved to South Korea to be with her 29-year-old fiance after living in Salt Lake City, Utah. Recently, Deavan has spoken about her life before the show, involving a violent relationship.
In the coming season, viewers will see Deavan and Jihoon work through cultural differences, including language issues. Viewers will also apparently see Deavan’s older daughter, Drascilla, arrive in South Korea with Deavan’s mother. Will they be able to make their new life work?
