Have the roses wilted between 'Bachelorette' winner Gabby Windey and her fiancé Erich Schwer?

Although there has not been any concrete confirmation from either party, concerned fans of Bachelor Nation seem to think Windey may have dropped a clue concerning the current state of their relationship status during a post-"Dancing With The Stars" interview.

The road to wedded bliss hasn't been entirely easy for the couple.

Controversy seemed to cloud around Windey and Schwer during the latter half of Windey's season of "The Bachelorette."

Shortly before the season finale aired, Schwer faced scrutiny after an ex-girlfriend publicly shared texts that had been exchanged shortly before his departure to film "The Bachelorette."

So, What Exactly Happened With Those Text Messages?

"The Bachelorette's'' most recent season finale had been chock-full of jaw-dropping moments.

Windey's bestie and fellow 'Bachelorette' Rachel Recchia had to publicly relive her heartbreak after it was revealed she and her final pick, Tino Franco, had gotten engaged only to part ways a short time later.

Recchia was not alone in having to publicly revisit painful situations during the two-part season finale; Windey and Schwer publicly addressed the aforementioned text messages, after host Jesse Palmer brought them up.

The Blast shared details of how the conversation unfolded, including Schewer's full explanation regarding his actions.

"I was taking the cowardly way out [with my ex,] Schwer began, "I led this girl on and used the show as an excuse to not confront her about our relationship. I didn't see a future, but we were having fun, and it was easy to have fun instead of making the hard decision of telling her it wasn't long-term," Schwer continued. "I think it's all a testament to me being the last person ever to be on this show. I came into this hoping just to make it past night one and see what happens. I watched one episode before I came on and was just figuring it out as I got there."

Windey later explained to People magazine she had been "expecting" the texts and advised her fiancé to prepare himself for the public's response.

"He was scared they were going to leak, and I'm like, 'You have to prepare yourself now and tell the truth,'' Windey detailed. Since Schwer publicly owned up to his actions, Windey felt there was no more action needed.

"...There's not really anything I can say or do," She added, in reference to Schwer holding himself accountable.

Is There A Chance Windey And Schwer's Relationship Will Turn Out Not To Be Longterm?

A month and a half after the couple appeared on "After The Final Rose," Windey is busy currently competing on "Dancing With The Stars."

While doing a post-show interview dressed in Halloween attire, she was asked by a Fox News reporter whether she and her 'Bachelorette' babe were still together.

Windey chose to stay vague with her answer, making the choice not to share specific details.

"I think, um, life is just really busy for the both of us right now," she began, "so I understand their concern, but we're just kind of, you know, going forward with each of our individual interests and supporting each other from afar," Windey concluded.

Entertainment news reporter Zacharyreality posted the clip on Twitter earlier this morning, and fans took to the thread's comment section to discuss Windey's answer.

A Twitter user responded, "I can't tell if that's a yes they're still together or no, we're living separate lives..."

A fellow fan responded, "if she didn't say 'We're still together,' I would assume they aren't"

Zacharyreality followed up the clip with a tweet where he expanded on his thoughts about the current state of Windey and Schwer's relationship.

"As of today, I do think it's over between Gabby & Erich. But, I still have hope," he tweeted, along with a praying hands emoji.
