Taylor Swift fans can leave up the Christmas lights until January, or celebrate the announcement of her highly-anticipated tour instead!

Swift ushered in a new era earlier this morning when she announced her first tour in half a decade, her first since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The "Lover" singer has quite the 'reputation' for making major announcements during a TV appearance on "Good Morning America."

In recent years, she has visited the 'GMA' set to announce the re-recording of her first six albums, and promote a multitude of releases!

After a cryptic announcement where Swift simply wished America a "good morning" earlier this week, several 'Swifties' were wondering exactly what the Easter egg queen had been up to and just how their lives were going to change once more.

Whispers Of A Potential Tour Had Already Begun Circulating!

The buzz surrounding a tour possibility had already been loud before a tour had been officially confirmed!

Last month, The Blast revealed what we knew about Swift's hypothetical tour plans.

Sources connected to the singer told Page Six "Taylor has some really ambitious plans in place. She's excited to get back on the road, after a long but fruitful break."

Swift had reportedly begun putting those plans into place at the time. A second source also told the outlet "several shows had already been booked," but revelations stopped there.

What Are The Official Deets About The Tour?!

As we've previously mentioned, it's been five long years since Swift last embarked on a stadium tour!

Her planned "Lover Fest" shows in support of 2019's "Lover" had been canceled due to the pandemic.

According to our aforementioned report, Swift took to her Twitter account in early 2021 to announce she had been unable to reschedule those shows that had only been postponed at the time.

"This is an unprecedented pandemic that has changed everyone's plans and no one knows what the touring landscape is going to look like in the near future..." Swift wrote in the announcement.

Nearly two years after Swift was forced to make the "sad" announcement to her fans, all frowns have now turned up into smiles from a tour that is surely going to make up for lost time!

Perhaps with all of her unheard material in mind Swift announced her 2023 tour would be known as "The Eras Tour!"

According to Variety, "The Eras Tour" will begin in the Spring and wrap up in mid-Summer, starting in March and ending in August.

Swift will be visiting 20 cities "over the course of 27 dates," with a number of notable special guests!

The outlet revealed HAIM, Phoebe Bridgers, MUNA, girl in red, GAYLE, Paramore, OWENN, Gracie Abrams, and beabadoobe would be supporting Swift as opening acts on the tour.
