Halle Berry Is Single, But She's Enjoying Living Her Life That Way

Despite some rumors to the contrary, Halle Berry is single, and she says she likes it that way. In an interview with Lena Waithe on Instagram live, the two discussed Berry's relationship history, and whether she was currently in a relationship.
There had been rumors that Berry was currently in a relationship with DJ D-Nice, but she put all that to rest in her conversation with Waithe. Berry, who has been married three times, said that she's okay with a little solitude.

"I’ve been pretty alone, by myself, going on three years now – decidedly so,” Berry said. “I’ve decided to take time [for myself]… I’m going to spend time with me. And it’s been so great that I might stay like this.”
Berry also acknowledged that she used to be a very "relationship-oriented" person, but after her last relationship ended, she decided that she wouldn't rush to enter another one. At first, her time alone was supposed to be at least a little bit limited.

Initially, the actress gave herself one year, but that turned into two, and now it's been almost three. Berry said that her time alone has given her a new perspective on what she needs out of a relationship.
“The next relationship I’ll get into, [I think] I’ll have a better chance at attracting and choosing what’s right for me," she said. Now, Berry said that she's willing to be more patient in order to find relationships that she knows will be worth pursuing.

“Because, I’ve taken this time to really think more clearly about what’s important to me, the kind of person that’s important me…I no longer feel the need for relationships or to ‘rush’ or accept something that’s not totally right for me." Now, the actress said that her focus is on finding "her match," wherever that person might be. Right now she's willing to "wait for my match, or stay solo and be with my kids and do my life the way I’m doing it.”

Berry also clarified that there wasn't anything wrong with her previous relationships, they just weren't always perfect fits. Over her years in the spotlight, Berry has been married to a number of people, including baseball player David Justice, who she divorced in 1997.
After that, she was married to Eric Benét. Benét underwent sex addiction in 2002, and by the next year, he and Berry were over. Her final marriage was to Oliver Martinez, a French actor. The two married in 2013, but were separated by 2015.
