Fans are in protective mode since the news broke that Takeoff of Migos, whose real name is Kirshnik Khari Ball was gunned down at a bowling alley. Now, they are fighting a whole different trigger, the video of the rapper’s passing is being shared on the social media platform.
The video is devastating and allegedly shows Quavo distraught. Fans want to know how and why this video is able to be shared over and over again.
Fans Want Answers About The Video Of Takeoff
“Posting TakeOff’s body is disgusting. Posting Quavo mourning is disgusting. J***n L*e describing the video in detail for clicks is disgusting. Y’all have no respect for the passing of anyone,” wrote a fan who pointed the finger at a popular black culture writer.
Another fan is saying the grief is too much. “My heart already felt heavy with the news of takeoff passing—but to see that video circling around AND trending is disturbing. We don’t need to see that, a horrific moment hearing Quavo grieving in shock—that’s a different type of pain. Please take that down.”
“Hearing Quavo” is apparently trending now due to the video and one follower called it the ultimate disrespect. “I know, I knoooow y’all don’t got “Hearing Quavo” trending in relation to Takeoff getting killed. REMOVE THE DAMN VIDEO FOR GOD SAKES!”
Even news organizations are asking followers to stop sharing the video in their comments. TheShadeRoom tweeted out; “At this point, we have all seen the graphic images and videos from the scene of Takeoff’s passing. We are asking that you please refrain from putting the images in our replies out of respect for his family and loved ones. 🙏🏾”
Instagram Is Catching Heat Over Takeoff’s Death As Well
The popular platform is also being flooded with comments and pleas to have the video removed under posts of the rapper death. “That’s exactly what happened when Nipsey was shot too. People will never stop doing that because they don’t understand how disrespectful it is to the victims family…” a follower of the trend reminded people.
“If anyone comes across those photos and video of takeoff. Please don’t share. Have empathy. It’s not right to his legacy, family, or friends. Nor his fans who are all dealing with this loss. Please encourage others to not do so and pray for his family and friends at this time 💔🙏🏽,” begged a sentimental fan.
The pleas seem to be not making an impact on the new Twitter owner Elon Musk quite yet. However, he did change the heart emoji from red to blue according to a keen-eyed fan who tweeted about.
