Terry Dubrow may seem like just a TV doctor but before his wife Heather Dubrow dragged him into the glitz of reality TV with the “Real Housewives of Orange County”, he was a doctor who worked in a hospital and didn’t have the choice of choosing which patients he gets to see. Dubrow is surely now one of the most sought-after doctors due to his fame so one can assume they are not hard up for money. In fact, before they were on the show they were raking in the dough because Dr. Dubrow is a plastic surgeon.

The couple are currently receiving backlash for their latest money-making stunt, charging panic-stricken Americans $28.95 for a 6oz bottle of sanitizer. The couple went on ShopHQ to sell their sanitizer they also promoted the event on Twitter where a lot of the backlash took place. Some fans of the couple have called them out for being tone-deaf and completely unaware of what is really happening in the world currently. One follower blasted them, “You and your husband are PRICE GOUGING. You are selling [6 ounces] of hand sanitizer for $28.95. You and your hubby get to [stay in a] $21 million home, while you take advantage of people’s fear. Shame.”

Fans also accused Heather Dubrow of being all about the money. However, this shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone seeing as Dubrow spent a majority of her time on the “Real Housewives of Orange County” talking about all the money she spends frivolously and how much money her doctor husband makes to allot for her extravagant lifestyle. Fans may have been able to forgive Dubrow for selling a sanitizer for so much money if he was sharing the proceeds. Unfortunately, the couple were not explicit about where the money from this expensive product was going to besides their pockets.
Heather Dubrow, not impressed with her image being dragged spoke to “Page Six” exclusively about the incident. She claims that she and Dr Dubrow have given plenty to those in need. “We’ve already donated thousands … to people working on the front line of this pandemic, She went on to share that they ARE in fact sharing the proceeds they are making. “We’re giving a portion of the proceeds of our sanitizer to food banks — there are kids who are not getting anything to eat — and to health-care professionals.” In addition, they have already donated $35,000 to California’s Second Harvest Food Bank.
Dr. Dubrow is defending his position of selling a sanitizer for almost $30 because it has been developed for “persistence”. He goes on to explain what that could possibly mean. “It’s the same technology we used in the room where we prep patients,” said Dr. Dubrow. He claims the product is so expensive because presently, the “ingredients are impossible to find”. He went on to share that the ingredients are also “three times the normal cost” and that they have “scorched the earth” looking for them. Yea he better get his monies worth for all that hard work.
