Cardi B’s husband Offset will be facing off with his baby mama Shya L’Amour in court over child support payments.
According to Bossip, Offset and Shya (real name: Nicole Algarin) are scheduled to appear in Georgia court next month for a hearing in her child support case.
Back in October, Shya sued Offset seeking to increase the monthly child support for their 4-year-old daughter Kalea. She accuses the Migos rapper of only providing limited financial support for their kid and wanted a judge to step in.
In the docs, Offset’s baby mama claimed a DNA test had already been done which showed the rapper has the biological father to Kalea. Offset had 4 kids including daughter Kulture with Cardi B.
Shya’s attorney, Fani T. Willis told Bossip her client was struggling to pay her bills amid the pandemic. She said,“She’s like all of us, she’s struggling. She’s an hourly wage worker, she’s got two beautiful little girls…she’s not doing well in terms of resources people need.”
A judge is set to hear both sides next month.
As The Blast first reported, Offset battled his other baby mama, Justine Watson, back in 2017.
Justine sued Offset for paternity, child support, and custody. She accused him of being the father to her then 7-year-old son, Jordan. She accused the rapper of only providing sporadic financial assistance and claimed he rarely paid for medical expenses, education needs and extracurricular activities.
She pleaded with the court to order Offset to pay child support based on his estimated net worth of $9 million. Justine wanted him to pay forced to pay retroactive support and $15,000 in attorney fees. Offset had the entire legal battle sealed from the public.
Offset does have some good news after recently settled a lawsuit stemming from the Fyre Festival.
