Michael Buble's wife is furious after people have accused her husband of domestic violence, and she is now defending him over an Instagram video where the singer appears to get physical with his wife.
Buble's wife, Luisana Lopilato, issued a statement defending the singer after a video went viral of the couple during an Instagram Live session where he appears to elbow her as the broadcast begins.
In the clip, Buble is also seen grabbing his wife by the arm and pulling her closer to him which prompted an apology from Luisana. But, after the exchange, the couple keeps smiling and move on.
Buble's wife is upset the incident is being called violent, and is calling out those people who are questioning the singer's behavior.
Micahel Buble's wife reacted to the situation in Spanish, but we translated her statement.
"It is incredible how some human beings are !! While we cross this pandemic, and we live moments of confinement, anguish, fear, loneliness, uncertainties of all kinds! Every day we go out with my husband to live to bring them a little joy, entertainment, longing, and we have to bear to listen and see what malicious people publish who come out to talk about anything and without knowing anything about our family," she began.
She continued, "I want you to know that I have no doubts who my husband is and I would choose him a thousand times more !! It's not fair! This person is doing harm and taking advantage of this pandemic where people are suffering, dying and locked up, to have fame and more followers."
Lopilato does not explain why Buble reacted the way he did during the video but calls the allegation of domestic violence 'a lie.'
The actress then blasts the people who are claiming Buble committed any sort of domestic violence saying, they are "telling lies that I will not allow because he disrespects my family, so I ask you who have trusted me so much for years that you do not allow it either!"
She continued, "Without more to say and do what I think is right when they mess with my family. I leave the consequences to God! The world needs more than ever "love, hope, values, unity and solidarity" NOT these types of people."
After the video aired, several people took to social media to complain about the interaction, with one fan saying, "It’s never ok to hit another person!"
At this point, Buble has not reacted to the backlash from the video, but the couple HAS continued to broadcast from their home since the incident occurred.
