Will Smith knows that the show must go on with or without DJ Jazzy Jeff.
The rapper joked that he almost replaced his long time DJ on Wednesday after he learned that Jeff had a positive diagnosis. The dynamic duo was video chatting and as Jeff was describing the pain and suffering from his symptoms, Will clowned him by saying he was going to call DJ D-Nice to permanently fill in for Jeff.
“I just immediately called D-Nice to see if he was available,” Smith joked. “I was like, ‘Not my DJ!”
D-Nice was originally discovered by Kid Rock but he became really famous when he was one of the first DJs to host a music set on Instagram Live. Since then, numerous celebrities started following him including, Drake, Haley Berry, Amy Schumer, Diddy, and Michelle Obama.
“I came home from my trip like, ‘I feel like I’m coming down with something,'” Jeff told Will via video conference, “got into bed… don’t remember the next 10 days.”
“I had a temperature that reached about 103, I had the chills, I lost sense of smell, I lost sense of taste,” he detailed.
Jeff went on to say that he was unable to get tested properly.
“They gave me a flu test,” Jeff stated before Will said, “They couldn’t even give you a test?!” in disbelief.
The DJ continued, “When I went and got the chest X-Ray, she came in and said, ‘you have pneumonia in your lungs.”
Will revealed that Jeff is doing much better now in the caption of his funny video, “He is All Good! He kinda scared me a little bit.”
Jeff went on to say that he wasn’t “ready yet” but cautioned people by saying that this could be just the beginning of our troubles and people need to do the right things to stay healthy.
When the serious discussion about Jeff’s health was over, they brought the house down… well they brought their individual houses down because they were not in the same place. Will picked up the mic as Jeff jumped on the ones and twos to entertain a bunch of fans that watched them live. If you missed it don’t worry, it was all part of Will’s new Snapchat show that features his home life now that we are all stuck.
Also, D-Nice is a great DJ but nobody can match the chemistry between Jazzy Jeff and Big Will.
