‘Vanderpump Rules’ Stassi Schroeder Blasted For Tone-Deaf IG Post

Stassi Schroeder is no stranger to pissing people off and it looks like she is a it again. This time the reality TV participant is being called out for her latest Instagram post. Schroeder, who has been on “Vanderpump Rules” since season one, has been busy prepping for her wedding but seeing as COVID-19 has placed that on hold AND she is stuck inside, well, she needs to get her attention elsewhere. Lately, Schroeder’s post has been a lot of selfies, wine drinking and an adorable Easter throwback with her mom.
One of the posts, however, has made her fans a bit peeved with her. Fans of the author know that she loves to crack jokes that can sometimes make others uncomfortable but one of those posts has sparked a debate about whether it’s cool or not to make jokes about mental health and medication especially during a self-quarantine. Schroeder posted a selfie of herself looking way better than most of us do on a day we tried to look our best.

She captioned the photo, “This is what spiraling looks like. I need a brush and a Prozac prescription like ASAP.” While most of her comments came from her other bravolebrity friends like “Southern Charm” Naomi Olindo who called her a “beauty”. And another one from “Summer House” Lauren Wirkus who said, “If this is what spiraling looks like I’ll take it any day damn girl ?.” A few fans even gave her props for being “so open” and “so natural” but the real hate came from those who have suffered with mental health.

One follower slammed Schroeder for her tone-deaf post and insensitivity. “This is tone deaf for people who actually use Prozac or other serious medications for depression and anxiety.” Someone in the medical profession let her know she has no idea what spiraling is. “You could come work with me in the emergency room if you want to see was spiraling really is about lol. Hang in there, stay safe, it won't last forever, but please stay home for us.” Let’s be honest, Schroeder is not known for her understanding nature.

She has done a few things on “Vanderpump Rules” that proves she is willing to do whatever it takes for the attention she wants. Is it jus a coincidence that ever season she has a meltdown on her birthday? One of Schroder’s followers pleaded with her to use her platform for good. We can’t help but echo this sentiment. A joke about mental health while you pose with a pouty lip and sultry look is tone-deaf at its best. Maybe she should save the jokes for Lisa Vanderpump she does shady way better.
