Trevor Holmes from 'American Idol', Where Is His Girlfriend Now?

Trevor Holmes just showed up on The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart, in a shocking twist. He was on Season 16 of American Idol, and apparently, he's on the hunt for a new duet partner.

But if you were a fan of him in Idol, you probably are asking what happened to his girlfriend, because she appeared often alongside of him on-stage.

In case you were not caught up on American Idol, and have no idea what we're talking about, the girlfriend in question was named Sierra Nelson.

She is 34 years old, and is a practicing nutrionist and fitness coach. She's from Californa, according to Famous Birthdays. She graduated from ISSA, and uses her Instagram and blog (Your Sexy Self) to promote her training programs.

Sierra was seen with Trevor for quite a while, especially during Season 16 of American Idol. At one point, Katy Perry and Trevor were flirting, and Sierra supported it because Katy Perry was her boyfriend's life-long crush.

"I was fully supportive of it, we all have celebrity crushes, I even told [Katy] we could share him." She said, when interviewing on Good Morning America.

So of course fans are wondering why they broke up, if things were going so well. Well, they seem to have split in September 2018, and according to US Weekly, the breakup was messy.

Sierra posted to Instagram with the following caption: "• || THE BREAKUP || • Walking away from anything thats unhealthy or causing you pain is one of the most difficult acts of self love. But one of the most powerful. Recently I was faced with just that….. Walking away from my relationship...?"

Her Instagram caption continued: "Leaving was one of the hardest things I’ve done. But I had to leave out of LOVE FOR MYSELF. My heart was not being protected. It was not receiving the respect, loyalty, honesty and love it SO deserves. ??

The past few weeks have been filled with pain, anger, tears, confusion, hurt, grief AND compassion while learning to forgive myself for allowing much less than I deserve for far too long. Her caption ended with a supportive message to fans that may be going through the same thing: "I hope it gives you the strength to walk away from the table when honesty, faithfulness, respect and love are no longer being served. To never EVER settle. Because you DESERVE all the love & happiness in this world. And because each time one of us stands up for ourselves we stand up for all of us. So…. this is me… standing up for us all. ??❤️

During American Idol, Trevor was 27 years old and working as a construction worker by day, according to Gold Derby. He's deviated, as of current, from his career as a construction worker.

He's on Listen to Your Heart, of course, and works in social media marketing, according to Yahoo!. It's not been confirmed as of yet, but viewers were rather shocked.
