Exes Vanessa Hudgens & Zac Efron Are Reuniting For One Night Only

Fans are finally getting their prayers answered! Newly-single Vanessa Hudgens is reuniting with her famous ex Zac Efron, but it's not what you think. The duo, formerly known as Zanessa, will be back together for one night only, joining their "High School Musical" cast for an at-home singalong. According to Deadline, the gangs all in and besides Hudgens and Efron the program will also feature stars Ashley Tisdale, Corbin Bleu, Monique Coleman, and Lucas Grabeel. The director of the 2006 Disney movie, Kenny Ortega, told the outlet that Efron was the last of the bunch to sign onto the project.

The group will perform “We’re All in This Together” from their individual homes for The Disney Family Singalong special set to air on ABC on April 16. “We couldn’t reach Zac until late but when we did, he immediately jumped in, of course,” the director told Deadline. “Everyone we reached out to was quick — and you’ll see it in their spirit and the way they come together from their homes.” Recently, Hudgens and Tisdale sparked reunion rumors when they virtually came together to perform their choreography to the iconic song on Tik Tok.

Hudgens later reposted the choreographed dance while sipping on a glass of wine. Fans have been waiting for Hudgens and Efron to reunite ever since she split from Austin Butler earlier this year. The "High School Musical" co-stars dated for five years before ending things in 2010. She began dating Butler one year later and their relationship lasted for nine whole years. After the breakup news was made public, fans on Twitter began desperately trying to play matchmaker, telling the "Baywatch" hunk to "come get your woman!"

Hours after Us Weekly broke the Hudgens/Butler breakup story, Zanessa began trending on social media. "Vanessa Hudgens and Austin Butler broke up ZANESSA IS BACK ON, GO ON AHEAD ZAC EFRON, she’s free now?," one fan wrote. "Me finding out Vanessa Hudgens and Austin Butler broke up, but then realizing this is Zac Efron’s chance to revive Zanessa," added another. Ever since her split with Butler, Hudgens has been dropping Thirsty Thursday traps every week, reminding her fans that she's single and ready to mingle. While this may not be the reunion their Zanessa fans had hoped for, it is a reunion none the less. The Disney Family Singalong is set to air on ABC April 16 at 8 PM.
