Chelsea Handler's Naked Bathtub Book Reviews An Automatic Hit On Instagram – Expect 'Diplomacy' Down Below

Chelsea Handler is back in her birthday suit. The 45-year-old comedian and "Chelsea Lately" star has already made headlines this month for including nudity in her literary reviews – likewise, for putting a unique spin on COVID-19 face masks by showing Instagram how a bra can, jokingly, work fine as an alternative to the purchased product.

Chelsea's Monday Instagram update saw her fully naked, in her bathtub, and appearing to have placed her three featured books in a way that both protected her modesty and upped the ante – legs slightly spread will do that.

Chelsea's post included both video footage of her and a still image. The latter showed the blonde smiling for the camera as she bared her birthday suit, seen in an empty white tub and backed by wall marbles and wood. With one book held over each breast and Henry Kissinger's "Diplomacy" between her legs, the New Jersey native was giving a nod to the former U.S. Secretary of State, also recommending "Untamed" by Glenn Doyle and "Untethered Soul" by Michael Allen Singer.

Clocking over 56,000 likes in two hours, the update appears to have proven a hit. Chelsea's videos had also shown her shot close up as she offered a mini review of each work.

"There's nothing like getting a lot of reading done in times like these," the star said, referring to her quarantine situation.

Celebrity likes were quick to arrive, coming in from actress Kate Hudson, plus rapper Chanel West Coast and "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star Lisa Rinna.

"Can we do a zoom with your reading lewk?" a comment read.

"Sure, who else is calling in?" Chelsea replied.

Chelsea made headlines last month for her unusual reading habits – a photo showed off her workout body, balance, and what appeared to be a penchant for a little marijuana. As The Blast documented on March 29, users had immediately spotted the joint seen gently smoking away in the snap.

"Joint in hand. Haha this is amazing and inspirational on so many levels," one fan wrote.

"The smoke effect is epic," another said.

"That joint tho" was another comment.

Today's update follows a likewise-nude one made on April 3. The living-room set photo showing off works including "The Nazzi Officer's Wife" was, however, less racy than Monday's update.

Also unique has been Chelsea's approach to face masks. Clearly in her trademark humor mode, the star took to Instagram just under a week ago to show her novel take on medical masks.

"You can just take one of your bras if you have big boobs," the blonde said as she stood in a pajama shirt. Seen wrapping a nude padded bra around her face, Chelsea said: "Go like this, and then just hook it together, like that."

The video currently sits at over 784,000 views.
