Avery Mills and Omar Albakkour appeared on a previous season of 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days. The couple faced many obstacles in their way. For example, Mills' mother did her best to persuade Mills not to get married, especially after she learned it would be difficult for Albakkour to obtain a visa. When Mills revealed she wanted to move to Syria if Albakkour could not get a visa, her mother was very upset.
With Albakkour being unable to obtain a visa, is the couple still married?

Mills and Albakkour did get married when Mills visited, but she was forced to return to the United States and initiate the visa process. She could not find a way to get Albakkour to America, and seemingly they did not consult with an attorney before the marriage to determine what their options might be.
Mills and Albakkour appeared on an episode of TLC's 90 Day Fiance: What Now? web series. They explained the difficulties of getting a visa for somebody who is in Syria.

Mills discussed the fact that she is considering moving to another country with Albakkour so that the two can live together.
On Instagram, Mills recently revealed that the couple is still not able to live together. She recently posted a statement clarifying that they are still "happily married" but living apart. She is still trying to sponsor a visa for Albakkour, so she maintains a job in the States. She is also going to school. They are patiently awaiting the day they can live together again.

Mills has personally been through a lot. In fact, she has gone through many changes in the last few years, including a conversion to Islam. The former reality show cast member claims that she has experienced discrimination since becoming Muslim.
Three weeks ago, Mills also posted on Instagram, "Love has no boundaries, This past year and a half has been incredible. One day (in a long time lol) we will be able to show our kids how we met and how we defied all the odds"
This happened to me at Walmart today, thankfully though those 2 people can’t do it to other people there. They are right America isn’t what it used to be you can’t blatantly be prejudice at work anymore. It’s funny now Bc they will be living off of welfare with MY tax dollars 🤷🏼♀️ pic.twitter.com/gqvgQx1uvq

On the episode of What Now?, the couple were shown meeting again in Lebanon. They discussed other potential places they could live, including the United Arab Emirates, Canada, and Kuwait.
On the show, they discussed that the chances of Albakkour receiving a visa to live in the United States are quite low. This is something that Mills seemingly did not consider before she traveled to marry him in Lebanon, and she seemed surprised that the visa ban impacted her situation.
