Billie Eilish's Brother Finneas Credits GF Claudia For Helping With Recovery After Bike Accident

Finneas is giving credit to his girlfriend for being right by his side.

The musician and record producer, who happens to be the older brother to famous singer Billie Eilish, recently revealed he suffered major injuries due to an accident he sustained on his electric bike.

The talented songwriter shared the devastating news on Instagram and used that opportunity to thank his surgeons for their life-saving treatment. He also showed his gratitude to his family members and his longtime girlfriend, Claudia Sulewski, for their immense support.

The 25-year-old paid special appreciation to Sulewski for helping him through the grueling healing process. The pair, whose relationship is rock solid, met on a dating app in 2018.

Finneas O'Connell professionally referred to as Finneas, has proven to be a product of grace after surviving a ghastly electric bike accident that could have cost him his life.

The “Glee” actor shared an X-ray of his fractured bones on Instagram while explaining in the caption how he injured his collarbone and suffered a head fracture following his demoralizing accident.

He began, “Last Friday, I had the pleasure of crashing my electric bike, flying over the handlebars, and absolutely demolishing my collarbone as well as sustaining a radial head fracture to my right elbow. The severity of the displacement of my collarbone meant I required surgery which I am now on the other side of, and I’m feeling great!”

The eight-time grammy-award winner went on to thank his amazing surgeons, writing, “I want to give an enormous thank you to Dr. Brian Lee who performed the surgery, Dr. Neal Elattrache and everyone at Kerlan Jobe for their incredible treatment I feel so privileged to have received.”

He also appreciated his physical therapist and wrote, “I’d also like to thank Jonathan Erb PT for guiding me through the treatment process of physical rehab I now face.” 

Luckily for the “Turning Red” actor, he had amazing support from his family and his lovely girlfriend Sulewski who he gave a special shoutout. In his words, “I also want to thank my family for their support and love, and most of all Claudia for dropping everything to take care of me the second this happened. She has been an Angel through all of this.”

Sulewski’s commitment to assisting her boyfriend get back on his feet is a testament to how much the lovebirds adore and cherish each other. Per The List, the couple revealed on their now-defunct podcast that they came to be after finding each other on a dating app in 2018. 

The “Bad Teacher” actor, during an exclusive interview, disclosed that he was smitten with the YouTuber/actress when he first met her and even went ahead to write a song about her when he got home that night.

The song, which is titled “Claudia,” contained lyrics that exalted the “Young Hollywood” star. It had captivating lines like, “I think you’re gonna change my plans with those emerald eyes” and “I’m bound to fall for you.” And he sure did fall head over heels for her!

Also, while a lot of relationships went downhill during the pandemic in 2020, Finneas and Sulewski’s romance stood the test of time, as they spent the whole of lockdown together during the pandemic. The couple made it work and found time to nurture their relationship. 

In another exclusive chat, “The Vengeance” actor confessed that the YouTuber is his muse, saying, “Claudia has been a huge influence on my music in terms of just how important she is to my life. I think I’ve always tended to write about my true real-life experiences, and she’s definitely at the core of all of that.”

While the record producer usually writes many of Eilish’s songs and performs with her on tour most of the time, the siblings, however, share a special bond that is separate from their work life.

Per reports, the “Ocean Eyes” singer shared a heartwarming tribute to her older brother for his 25th birthday. 

Taking to her Instagram account, she shared two adorable pictures of her and Finneas as little kids. In the first picture, the pair were seated together outside on a lawn in front of trees, while in the other photo, they were spotted standing on a field. 

The “Happier Than Ever” songstress lovingly captioned the post, writing, “Happy birthday to my best friend, you make life feel worth something.”
