Katy Perry might have just pulled the biggest Halloween scare with the recent conspiracy theories that broke following a clip that went viral on social media.

Per the video, the singer's right eye seemed to suffer a "glitch" when it started twitching during a performance at her Las Vegas "Play" residency. The twitching became so bad that Perry had to take a breather to "reset" the affected eye in the middle of the show. However, she has put fans' minds at rest.

After repeatedly blinking her left eye to get the right one to work, Perry touched her temple, prompting the eyelid to reopen. She went through the motions twice. The odd occurrence, which was caught on tape, quickly went viral, earning millions of views.

It also elicited various fan reactions and theories, which Perry has put to rest, claiming that the "glitch" was just one of the many party tricks she implemented during the performance.

In an Instagram post she made on Thursday; Perry re-shared the clip with the words, "POV: when you see new 2023 PLAY dates" appearing on it. After asking her 177 million followers to "come [sic] see my broken doll eye party trick IRL in Vegas next year!" the 38-year-old gushed:

"The show's set list is a fun Xl through memory lane going all the way back to 2008, a time when we weren't all frozen by the paranoia of our own echo chambers!"

Perry also informed fans that the show would be a "nonstop party about finding unconditional love and strangely (for me) not political at all, heck I pour beer out of my tits (that's a party trick too... I don't actually lactate hops silly goose!) b Hope to sing along with you in 2023!"

Although the post has gotten almost a million likes, critics were still not sold on the singer's story. In fact, the reaction in her comments seemed similar to the ones that ruled Twitter when the original clip dropped earlier this week.

At the time, one user uploaded the footage, writing, "Katy Perry looking awfully like Justin Bieber. One Eye? Robot, Or Bell's palsy? [thinking emoji] facial paralysis." Another person queried, "nobody's gonna tell us what happened with Katy Perry's eye?" and a third joked, "Katy perry has a button on her face that opens her eye."

The clip made its way to yet another observer's timeline, and this time it came with this explanation, "People are freaking out over this Katy Perry clip. It's not from the Vaccine. It's Botox. Botox often leads to droopy eye syndrome."

A fifth person wanted Perry to provide her curious fans with answers, while a sixth pondered, "Perhaps the conspiracy tards were right all along about clones taking the place of pop stars and celebrities. I mean that katy perry eye twitch looked like a basic error from a cyborg."

As it turned out, the "clone" theory was the most shared one, as several people suggested that the "Katy clone" had "malfunctioned."

When Perry turned 38 on October 25, her longtime beau and baby daddy, Orlando Bloom, was right there to celebrate her. The Blast noted that the English actor used a lovey-dovey picture to inform six million+ fans — and anybody else who cares to know — just how exceptional the singer is to him.

The photo showed the pair sitting at a table during what appeared to be a restaurant date. While the "I Kissed a Girl" hitmaker tilted her head towards her boo with one fist under her chin, the actor seemed content capturing the moment on his phone's camera. The "Pirates of the Caribbean" star wrote in the caption:

"Each time we take a trip around the sun and get to celebrate you, I'm reminded that on this journey together and whatever the weather, I'm always smiling."

Bloom took things further by sharing a close-up selfie highlighting his partner's entire face and just half of his. "The Lord of the Rings" star wrote "This birthday [cake emoji], This [red heart emojis]" across the picture.

The engaged couple shares a child — a daughter Daisy Dove, who has significantly impacted Perry. The singer, who used to feel disconnected from what was meant to be her maternal side, has since embraced being a mom, calling it the "best decision" she ever made in interviews.
