In case you missed it, actress Florence Pugh took to Instagram this week to slam online trolls that cyberbullied her over her IG birthday tribute to boyfriend Zach Braff. Pugh, who is 24-years-old, received a ton of online hate after posting a sweet photo of 45-year-old Braff to her Instagram account. Fans apparently are not fond of the age difference between the two and unleashed in her comments section over the photo. Pugh took to her own IG stories to slam those bullies and asked them to leave if they don’t like what they see on her page.

Well, it turns out that Pugh’s comments really resonated with singer Ariana Grande, who took to her own Instagram stories in support of the actress. Grande has seen her own fair share of bullying and criticism for sharing personal details with the public which is likely why she showed her support. Grande posted a photo of Pugh and captioned it, “beautifully worded and deeply appreciated. Sharing special, personal life things that make u happy on the internet can be truly traumatic. I know I’ve taken a step back from doing so to protect my loved ones and myself but I just wanted to share this and let u know how perfectly u expressed this and how appreciated u are for doing so @florencepugh.”

Grande then went on to quote a few moments from Pugh’s story, such as “being hateful is not trendy” and “I do not need you to tell me who I should and should not love and I would never in my life tell anyone who they can or can not love. It is not your place and has nothing to do with you.” To this last bit, Grande commented, “i screamed.” Grande also added her own comments to Pugh’s actual post which said "Oh I love and appreciate you so much” and joked that ‘being hateful is not trendy’ a new tattoo for my chest.”

Grande is no stranger to having her personal life splashed around and picked apart by fans. Grande received tons of criticism over the years, especially for her relationship with comedian Pete Davidson. Davidson and Grande’s relationship was highly publicized, which reportedly made things extremely difficult for the pair. This likely led to Grande being way more careful with what she shares with the public, which is why it took months for people to identify the mystery man she was seen kissing back in February.

While Grande did end up deleting the Instagram story supporting Pugh, the moment was captured to showcase the kindness between the two ladies. Grande has been tight-lipped regarding her personal life, although it has been rumored that she is still with the mystery man she kissed in February, who has been revealed to be real estate entrepreneur Dalton Gomez. Although nothing has been confirmed by the pair, it was reported by ‘TMZ’ that Gomez and Grande were in quarantine together since the coronavirus pandemic hit.
