'Selling Sunset' Stars React To The Show's Third People's Choice Award Nod

Heather Rae Young and other "Selling Sunset" cast are appreciating their supporters following the announcement of the 2022 People's Choice Awards nominees on Wednesday morning.

The highly anticipated list covers 40 categories across movies, television, music, and popular culture, including the most prominent entertainers and celebrities such as Brad Pitt, Dwayne Johnson, Viola Davis, Harry Styles, and Beyoncé. The Netflix series "Selling Sunset" is also up for an award in 'The Reality Show of 2022' category — a feat that Heather and her costars have celebrated.

Taking to her Instagram Story to speak on the show's third nomination, Heather dropped a reaction video featuring her husband, Tarek El Moussa, in a car. The expectant mother began the clip by asking Tarek — who is on his phone — if he has "heard the good news," prompting the "Flip or Flop" alum to respond, "what?"

"'Selling Sunset' was nominated..again…third time for the People's Choice Awards," Heather said as her husband chimed, "go vote. They deserve to win this year." The clip, which Tarek reposted to his own Instagram Story, had the words:

"AH!!! Just found out Selling Sunset was nominated again for a @peopleschoice award for "The Reality Show 2022"!!! Third times the charm guys vote vote vote!!!"

Bre Tiesi also joined Tarek in reposting Heather's video with her own reaction written at the bottom left corner of the clip, that read, "Ahhhhhh how amazing!!!!! Nominated AGAIN!! yes I would be sooooo excited to be apart of the take home of people choice award!!!!!! Please vote guys!!! I'll be on 6/7."

Chrishell Stause, who was nominated in a separate category, also shared a video to her Instagram Story that saw her holding and talking to her dog, Gracie, as she excitedly addressed the new milestone, saying:

"Thank you, People's Choice, for nominating me for Best Reality Star. Also, "Selling Sunset" was nominated for best reality show. You were in that, Gracie. Uhm, maybe, she'll be nominated next year."

She added that she thought her dog was "the real star of the show" and proceeded to appreciate her fans' support, encouraging them to vote. After the 41-year-old noted that "competition is stiff," she panned the camera toward her girlfriend, G-Flip, to ask if she could "at least count" on their vote.

The singer quickly screamed, "get it, baby," and Stause ended the clip by revealing that even if she did not win at the People's Choice Awards, she was a winner in her house. The real estate agent also took to her Instagram feed to post a headshot of her nomination category, writing in the caption:

"Ahhhhh THANK YOUUUU @peopleschoice for the NOMINATIONS!!! I absolutely love the other women in my category so it is so amazing to be in with them #SellingSunset is also nominated for best reality show. Link in bio!"

According to E!, the celebrated awards show is slated to air on December 6th with "Selling Sunset" battling it out  with "90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days," "Below Deck Sailing Yacht," "Jersey Shore: Family Vacation," "Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta," "The Kardashians, "The Real Housewives of Atlanta," and "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills."

As for Stause, she will be slugging it out with Garcelle Beauvais, Kandi Burruss, Kenya Moore, Khloé Kardashian, Kim Kardashian, Kyle Richards, and Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino.

Back in July, The Blast noted that Heather bragged about her association with "Selling Sunset" following its second consecutive Emmy Awards nomination. To that end, the February 2010 Playboy Playmate shared a clip of herself in an all-white ensemble comprising a camisole and a suit jacket.

The Anaheim native's formal look was completed with gold accessories, including hoop earrings, a necklace, and several bracelets. Heather began the video by announcing the big news, excitedly gushing about how "proud" she was of her "Selling Sunset" and Netflix family.

The real estate guru said she would commemorate the nomination by conducting a few interviews. She appealed to her social media followers to keep their eyes on various news outlets. The blonde beauty also shared a post by one of her costars, Davina Potratz, who marked the series' nomination by dumping an image of its cast online.

In the picture, the female stars looked the part of winners in their matching white outfits next to the men who donned all-black ensembles. Unfortunately, the show lost out to "Love on the Spectrum U.S." in the Outstanding Unstructured Reality Program category.
