Wendy Williams Issues Warning To Tiffany Haddish About Common

In December, talk-show host Wendy Williams decided to ship comedian Tiffany Haddish and musician Common as a would-be couple, but now she's walking back parts of her statements.

Williams seems apprehensive about the whole thing.

“So it appears that they might be quarantining together… Are they quarantined together? I believe, yes,” Williams said.

Common and Haddish might already be quarantining together, so it's unclear what good this will do, since people who are quarantining together normally do that for the entire time they're in isolation.

A romance between the two was rumored after Common and Haddish were seen together at Haddish's Black Mitzvah in December. They were photographed several times together, so it wasn't just a fluke.

Here's what Haddish had to say when she posted this pic of her, Common and Harry Belafonte on Instagram.

Sounds like she's ready.

Haddish revealed that the two are together in one house during an April 8 phone call with Cedric the Entertainer. Haddish told Cedric she was quarantined with someone "who had a vegan chef cooking them meals."

According to Hollywood Life, Haddish then gave the phone to Common, who talked to Cedric.

Back in December, Williams first shipped the idea on her show, mentioning that Common had already broken up with political activist and commentator Angela Rye in the fall.

“Tiffany is so smart and in my opinion they’d make a great couple and I told her that. So Common, I don’t know what you’re going to do, I do not want to be involved. — I’m just passing it along. There is a very very single, accomplished, wealthy, no children, no relationship women that likes you a whole lot.”

Williams also mentioned a revealing conversation with Haddish about Common that month.

“You know, she talked real girl-talk about what she’d do to him. So I guess it’s going down.”

And Haddish also told Williams some nice things about Common:

“She didn’t say anything foul about Common, except that he’s smart and he’s delicious to look at."

Common and Rye first started dating in 2017. Though they're broken up, the two have stayed close as friends. According to Hollywood Life, staying friends with exes is his MO.

About their breakup, Williams said:

“Tiffany, you and I have talked about this. I’m not going to say too much. All I’m saying is, you all know that I’m close with Tiffany Haddish… We talk about men. The talk about men is disgusting and dirty, but not about the men that we know. We talk about either people that we’ve been with or stuff that we see that we don’t like.”
