'Ellen' Sophia Grace Admits She Is 'Ready' Amid Pregnancy Criticism: 'No One Else's Problem'

Sophia Grace is shutting the naysayers up and reveling in her pregnancy. "The Ellen Degeneres Show" star broke the news of her pregnancy over the weekend, but it received mixed reactions from fans.

While many were happy for the former child star, others expressed concern over Sophia's age, given that she is just 19 years old. However, the YouTube star is paying no mind to the criticism and simply enjoying the pregnancy that God has given her.

Following the announcement of her first pregnancy over the weekend, Grace sat for an interview to share her thoughts about the harsh feedback she has received from the public since sharing the news. The 19-year-old who rose to fame alongside her cousin Rosie McClelland for their stellar performance of Nicki Minaj’s "Super Bass" as just kids, had a word for her haters.

During a sit-down with E! News, the soon-to-be-mom graciously clapped back at her YouTube followers who slammed her for being too you. The Essex native explained, "I feel like 19 is quite young, obviously, to have a baby. Usually, most people are like, ‘You should have babies when you're 30, and you're married, and you live in your own house,' which is completely fine. But obviously, everyone's gonna have their different opinions."

While the British singer understands that she is not following society’s norms, she is more than satisfied with where her life is right now. In her words, "I just feel it's about the person themselves. And as long as you feel ready and it's something that you're happy about, then it's really no one else's problem."

Nevertheless, Grace is choosing to focus more on the positive remarks from fans and not the negative ones. She told the publication, "I've seen so many supportive comments about how ‘You're young, but I had a baby at this age,' and it was so lovely. It really makes me feel happy when I see other girls comment that. It really, really makes me so more confident."

She admitted that upon realizing she was pregnant, she felt "overwhelmed" and was worried about how she would handle motherhood. However, she received support from her family and friends and, as a result, felt "really confident about it."

As The Blast previously reported, Grace broke the news of her pregnancy via her YouTube channel. She donned a nude long-sleeve outfit and was surrounded by pink and blue balloons as she said to fans, "I am here to tell you guys that I am pregnant. So I am 21 weeks today, and the reason why I left it so long is because I always want to make sure that everything’s completely fine and that everything’s safe."

She continued, "So I decided to wait till this time to tell everyone because I thought that 20 weeks is like definitely safe and I have my 20-week scan, and everything was fine, thank God."

The expectant mother explained that she was initially shocked by the news of her pregnancy but soon got used to it. Expressing her joy about her pregnancy, Grace said, "I got used to it now, and I’m super, super happy about it. And I can’t wait to share this journey with you guys, and definitely have a lot of different content from what I usually have. I guess my channel might turn into something new, so I’m super excited."

Alongside the news of pregnancy comes the curiosity about the baby’s gender. However, Grace didn’t wait for fans to ask the big question before telling them that she knew the gender of her unborn child.

"I actually know the gender because I actually found out but I am going to do a gender reveal for you guys in a separate video to this one so you can expect to see that soon on my channel," she said in the video.

The "Sam & Cat" star took fans along her pregnancy journey so far, from finding out she was pregnant to the several ultrasounds she did during cogent milestones.
