'RHOA' Star NeNe Leakes Fires Back At Frenemy Wendy Williams

“Real Housewives of Atlanta” star NeNe Leakes is ripping her sometimes-friend Wendy Williams for talking about their issues publicly.
NeNe took to Instagram Live to do a Q&A with her followers following Wendy’s recent comments about her. The “RHOA” star told everyone, “There are a few things I’m not going to address. I love to do a Q&A with you guys. But if you are going to ask me anything about Wendy, please refrain from doing so. I will not answer any questions concerning Wendy.
She added, “I am not that kind of friend. I’ve never been that kind of friend despite what you might think. Any questions you have I would direct them to her. I wish she would have done the same. I’m always loyal. I will always be loyal. I am not a snitch. I will never be one. I’m not going to hash out a friendship over social media.”
Over the weekend, NeNe was scheduled to appear on Instagram live with her former “RHOA” co-star Kim Zolciak. The chat had to be rescheduled due to technical difficulties but NeNe decided to chat with her fans on live.
During the live, NeNe decided to give her friend Wendy a surprise call but it didn’t turn out well. Wendy reported hung up on NeNe during the call. Wendy appeared on “RHOA” during a recent episode while on speakerphone with NeNe.
The call over the weekend wasn’t appreciated by Wendy. On Monday, Wendy spoke about the incident on her talk show and expressed her displeasure with NeNe.
Wendy said, “You know I don’t have face or time for FaceTime, period, If I don’t do it for my own parents…why would I be doing it for someone over there. I like NeNe, but she’s still an over-there person to me!”
She added, “Honestly, here’s where the ambush comes in. She said, ‘Wendy, look’ — she was in hair and makeup and wardrobe with all her people — she said, ‘We filming and I want you to be on the speaker.’ I said, ‘NeNe, I did that for you one time.’ Remember my appearance? One time!”
She said, “I made it very clear, I am not a Housewife. Sorry, my career is a bit…different…then being a Housewife. I don’t need that kind of attention. I’m not slumming for being some add on out the suitcase for some Housewife. And yeah, for me, that is slumming. For where I am.” On the show, Wendy said she hadn’t spoken to NeNe since the incident.
