Tino Franco Admits To Speaking With Aven Jones After Dramatic 'Bachelorette' Finale

The “Bachelorette: After the Finale Rose” episode has been one of the most talked about episodes in "Bachelor" history.

The drama unfolded after Rachel Recchia announced that Tino Franco cheated on her after the two got engaged, which led to an awkward reunion live on stage, to which the producers even brought out Rachel's other ex, Aven, a fan-favorite, to the stage to try and win Rachel back.

“Bachelorette: After the Finale Rose” viewers watched Rachel Recchia and Tino Franco get engaged, but things seemed to go downhill really quickly.

Around the time that the “Bachelorette” season premiered, the two admitted they were going through a rocky patch. Ultimately, we come to find out that Tino cheated on Rachel as he claimed he was under the impression they were on a break, leaving Rachel confused and heartbroken.

During the “Bachelorette” live finale, Tino came out on stage to talk with Rachel, but things did not go well. After the nation watched the awkward conversation between Rachel and Tino, host Jesse Palmer shocked Rachel, and the viewers, when he said someone was there who “demanded” to talk to Rachel.

Aven, Rachel’s runner-up, walked out on stage as everyone cheered. He asked, “I was just wondering if you want to get out of here and just catch up?” To which, Rachel replied with, “I would love nothing more.”

This happened all while Tino was sitting right there.

Tino Franco went onto Nick Viall's podcast this week to take accountability for his actions and to try and move on from the drama that occurred during "The Bachelorette" finale. When on the podcast, Tino spoke to the Aven situation that occurred on stage, and how he reached out after the drama unfolded.

"Aven's a great dude, Aven' super nice and always straightforward and super accountable," Tino began. "Much like it says in the media, I don't think he knew I was going to be out there when he came out and he reached out the night of "AFR" where I think my phone was off. He texted me that night and said 'Hey I'm really sorry, that was tough' and then we talked on the phone the next day too."

Rachel Recchia recently sat down with Kaitlyn Bristowe to talk all things “Bachelorette” during a recent episode of the “Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe” podcast. One of those topics included Aven Jones.

“I don’t know [what’s going on]. I feel like that’s the big question,” Rachel said. “With Aven, I just care about him so much that I genuinely just want him to be happy in whatever capacity that is with me or, like, whatever it is. I just really want to see him just thriving.”

She continued, “So what’s to come? I don’t know. I mean, I’m definitely, definitely open to seeing what happens, but it’s two people [and] we’ve been through so much.”

Unfortunately, the two seem to be down their own paths, but that doesn’t mean something won’t blossom down the road. “I wish I had something to tell you [about us]… We can do whatever we want now. We’re kind of off the show,” Rachel continued. “But I just got back to L.A. from everything that happened [on the] show — New York, I was in Vegas. So I think we’re both kind of just going to see where it goes — if it goes anywhere. I’ll keep you updated.”
