Singer Taylor Swift released her music video for “Anti-Hero” only a few hours after she dropped her tenth studio album, “Midnights,” and fans have a lot to say about her latest music video.
At over five minutes long, the video, which Taylor wrote and directed, features her “nightmare scenarios and intrusive thoughts play out in real-time.”
Take a look at the video below and check out what fans are saying about Taylor’s latest track!
Swifties Can't Stop Gushing Over The 'Anti-Hero' Music Video
In the extremely self-aware music video, Taylor meets her party-loving alter-ego who touches on her insecurities. As she grows up, her three children find out that they’re only getting thirteen cents in her will (as a nod to her favorite number, 13), and her beach house is being turned into a – you guessed it – cat sanctuary.
“Oh Taylor, thank you for this, it's so brave of you to expose your insecurities to millions of people like this, and the way you did it made me speechless,” one fan wrote. “I'm still shocked by the album, I loved every single song and I'm really wishing you the best...love you [so much], keep being this huge inspiration for all the Swifties.”
“I need this song more than ever and I’m so grateful to her that she shared her insecurities with us because it makes me and so many other people feel so much less alone,” another follower commented. “She will always be there for us and I hope she knows we will always be there for her!! Forever and always.”
“It's so crystal clear how this song's so personal and heartfelt that it could resonate with anyone who's struggling with occasional or frequent moments of self-loathing,” another fan agreed.
“This is honestly one of the most real and honest music videos she has produced and honestly this song is possibly my favorites in terms of relating to it,” another follower shared.
“The lyrics, the video with all the Easter eggs, the humor are nothing short of brilliant but it’s the glimpses into her mind about how she used to (and likely still does at times) treat herself that are quite sad,” another fan commented. “I love her honesty, and I love that she’s grown to love herself more.”
