Fans Demand Redo Of 'Halloween Ends' As Petition Goes Viral

Jamie Lee Curtis returned as Laurie Strodeone last time in "Halloween Ends." Fans could not wait to see the horror film, and box office numbers prove it as "Halloween Ends" grossed $45.2 million in the United States of October 19, 2022.

Unfortunately, despite the incredible box office numbers, fans were extremely disappointed with the film.

“Halloween Ends” was the Halloween film fans have been waiting for -- or so they thought.

The final chapter of the franchise has Jamie Lee Curtis say goodbye to Laurie Strode, the character she has played for the last 44 years, first appearing in John Carpenter’s original “Halloween” in 1978. However, fans felt that this was not a proper goodbye and are now wanting a re-do of the final chapter as they ask for a true ending to the franchise.

The petition, which already has nearly 8,500 signatures, is demanding the franchise redo the film as it wasn't the film fans were looking forward to.

"'Halloween Ends' was NOT a film that the Fans wanted!," the petition states. "This was an Origins Story! The Corey Story! We deserve a movie worthy of Michael Myers & the Halloween Franchise!"

The petition continued, "We love this Franchise whole heartily and this version of a Halloween Movie left us sad, mad, disappointed, and Infuriated. Please give us a movie that shows us what Halloween is really about. Our Apex Predator.... the King of Slasher Movies Michael Myers! This movie gave us a weak pathetic Michael who needed his mask to survive! This isn't OUR MICHAEL MYERS!"

"Our Killer is Strong , relentless, & unstoppable! Please right this wrong! We beg of you !!! � �," the petition concluded.

Jamie Lee Curtis has officially said goodbye to Laurie Strode, a character she has played for the last 44 years.

“The universal understanding of Laurie Strode is that as this original ‘final girl’ she never gave up, always pushing through no matter what. It is beyond comprehension that that is my legacy,” Curtis said in a recent interview. “I feel like I haven’t given up, that I have continued to try, but not at the level of Laurie Strode.”

She continued, “What I’ve gotten from her is way more than she’s gotten from me. Because when I’m gone, her legacy will become mine. Now, of course, I have my children, and that is my life, and that’s crucial. But in the films, she is my legacy, and I could not be prouder of any legacy — unless it’s like Mother Teresa or, you know, a great great Nelson Mandela or somebody like that — but in a film character, there’s not one you could name that I would rather be than Laurie Strode.”

Curtis stars in “Halloween Ends” alongside Andi Matichak, Kyle Richards, Rohan Campbell, James Jude Courtney, Omar Dorsey, Joanne Baron and Michael Barbieri.

“Halloween Ends” hit theaters and began streaming on Peacock on October 14.
