Jeannie Mai Jokes About How Motherhood Changed Her Idea Of Fall Pictures
For the fall season, the TV personality shared a carousel of pictures on her Instagram, and the snaps featured her 9-month–old daughter. They both struck several cute poses at the pumpkin patch.

A snap from the carousel showed mother and daughter smiling brightly for the camera while pumpkins and trees surrounded the duo. The host donned a brown sweatshirt which she topped with a black leather jacket and denim.
Matching her mother’s neutral outfit, the adorable toddler was dressed in a brown plaid shirt paired with a brown pair of sneakers. Her look was accessorized with a black beanie. Another picture detailed little Monaco seated on a haystack with a pumpkin beside her. Above her was a ghoul placard with the word “BOO” on it.
In the caption to this post, the makeup artist explained that she never thought her fall pictures would feature a pumpkin patch theme. She wrote, “Never in a milly years this time of the year would I ever thought I’d be running to pumpkins and leaves in matching neutrals with our kid for ‘fall pictures.’”
She further described what her fall pictures used to look like before motherhood, writing, “Guys Fall pictures for me used to mean on IG photoshoot in a mini skirt and boots holding a pumpkin spice latte looking thirst trappy but wow look who’s all grown up.”
However, she’s not letting motherhood stop her from posting her thirst-trappy pictures, as she told her fans to expect “mini skirt pics” soon.
Several fans and celebrities gathered in the comments to gush about how adorable the duo looked. Perez Hilton gushed, “so cute!!!” A fan chimed in, “Oh my goodness! The fall pumpkin kiddie pics!!! Love it. They will be some of your favorite photos ever.”
‘The Real’ Co-host Opens Up About Breastfeeding Struggles
The cute fall pictures came some months after the “Holey Moley” host got candid about her breastfeeding challenges.
Per The Blast, the stunning mother spoke about the issues in an episode of her “Hello Hunnay” YouTube series. She disclosed that she had no one to talk about breastfeeding with for some months.
After her daughter’s birth, Mai didn’t immediately start breastfeeding as she claimed that she wanted some time to study her baby before taking up the responsibility. When her daughter was born, the attending nurse advised her to breastfeed the baby in order to trigger the colostrum, and this was news to the first-time mother.
The host further revealed that the nurse went ahead to place the little one beneath her breasts and directed her mouth to suckle from it. At this moment, the stylist claimed that she felt the need to take on the responsibility of breastfeeding.
Mai also expressed her disappointment as she thought she’d have so much milk in her during that period. It turned out that only a tiny amount of milk came out from her.
The nurse informed her that she would be producing just that amount of colostrum, and it was then she realized that every woman’s breast product was important.
When she got home from the clinic, she tried all the ways to get her breasts to produce milk. Those attempts proved futile, and for three weeks, her milk supply was low. Mai confessed that she started to give up but couldn’t, as breastfeeding wasn’t something a mother could give up on. Nevertheless, her body started to produce more milk after several attempts.
The ‘Style Pop’ Host Said She Felt Unworthy To Experience Motherhood
A few months after the Emmy Award-winning TV host welcomed her daughter, she opened up about her postpartum anxiety and embracing motherhood. In an interview, Mai discussed the challenges she faced before finally accepting her new life as a mother.
The 43-year-old mother said she felt underserving of the joys of motherhood because she always said she didn’t want kids. Every day, she constantly worried that the slightest mistake would harm her child.
While this phase of her life was chaotic, she managed to pull through with therapy and advice from her parents.
