Actress and comedian Amy Schumer recently called out Kanye West for his numerous Anti-Semitic social media posts. The actress' Emmy award-winning show, "Inside Amy Schumer," is gearing up to make its return to television after a six-year-long hiatus.

Schumer spoke about a number of things during the sketch comedy show's New York premiere, one of which was fashion designer West's recent threatening messages toward Jewish people. The comedian is Jewish herself and asked that social media outlets take down the rapper's obvious anti-Semitic posts.

West has recently sparked major public outrage due to his comments on social media. Jewish people are not the only ones speaking out about the rapper as he previously held a "White Lives Matter" themed fashion show and expressed his doubts concerning the cause of George Floyd's death.

Amy Schumer Says Kanye West Needed To Be Called Out

During the New York premiere of "Inside Amy Schumer," the actress spoke to Extra and expressed how she felt about West's recent anti-Semitic social media posts. The Jewish comedian claimed the rapper's posts needed to be called out and brought to book by the social media outlets he made the comments on.

"I think it's really important that we call it out," Schumer said. "Kanye West is an anti-Semite, and hating Jewish people and spreading hate speech. These social media outlets, they need to embrace their own rules."

The "I Feel Pretty" actress further said that allowing statements like they stay up was "harmful," and they needed to be taken down immediately. "They need to enforce their own rules," Schumer continued. "I found out 84 percent of hateful tweets they are just allowed to continue. They don't take them down… We can't allow that, it's harmful."

Kanye West Made Anti-Semitic Posts On Twitter And Instagram

West made a number of anti-Jewish posts on Twitter hours after making similar statements on Instagram. The rapper promised to go "death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE." However, the post was taken down by Twitter for violating its policies.

In response to the backlash, the "Donda" singer claimed that black people were Jewish and asserted that they were the ones his tweets referred to. He wrote, "black people are actually Jew also You guys have toyed with me and tried to black ball anyone whoever opposes your agenda."

The rapper's tweets were taken down; however, his Twitter account remains unchanged. On the other hand, West's Instagram account was restricted by Meta after his statements violated their policies.

Amy Schumer Says People Should 'Do Better'

While talking to E! News on the "Inside Amy Schumer" launch, the actress revealed that writing the season felt like a "dream" to the crew after six long years. "Coming back together, writing the season of our show was just such a dream," she said. "It felt so good. It felt so bright."

Schumer also went into detail about her opinions concerning stand-up and cancel culture. She encouraged everyone "educate" themselves and do better overall. "I think anybody who's saying... 'Oh, people are too serious now.' I think they're the problem. I think we all need to educate ourselves and do better," the show host said.

"I know I've done the best I can to educate myself and learn that some of the things I've joked about were not funny and were harmful. I think everybody should be doing that, and if they're not, they're on the wrong side of history."

"Inside Amy Schumer" was initially launched in 2013 and ran till 2016; however, the popular show took a six-year-long break. Schumer was the creator and host of the series, and in its first two years, the show was given a Peabody Award. The comedy sketch show also won two Primetime Emmy awards out of eight nominations.

The comedian is back to hosting the sketch comedy series once more and revealed that while on the show, she would make sure interesting hot topics were the order of the day.

The Emmy award winner told Extra, "We went for it this season. We just had fun. We talked about things we care about, but we're really silly… We didn't shy away from topics… I think people are going to laugh, be a little shocked, but hopefully learn something and feel better."
