James Corden may be regretting his explosive restaurant behavior, but the NYC restauranter who exposed him is feeling even more regretful.

Earlier this week, the late-night talk-show host was outed by Keith McNally, the owner of Balthazar restaurant in New York City, for having horrible table manners.

The Blast reported on McNally’s claims and Corden’s subsequent apology.

Now, McNally is admitting he feels “strange” about the now-viral moment and “really sorry” for Corden.

In an Instagram post published Tuesday, October 18, the famed restauranter shared a picture of his daughter and her friend dining with him at Balthazar.

“With my daughter, Alice (in black) and her best friend, Margot Paisner, at Balthazar tonight.

Feeling strange about the James Corden thing,” he wrote. “On the one hand, he was definitely abusive to my staff, on the other hand, I feel really sorry for him right now. Like most cowards I want it both ways.”

McNally concluded his semi-heartfelt post, “F**k it, I’m going to get drunk.”

The situation with Corden got so bad that McNally banned him from dining at Balthazar in Manhattan.

On October 17th, McNally took to Instagram to share a pixelated photo of “The Late Late Show with James Corden” host alongside some heated words.

“James Corden is a Hugely gifted comedian but a tiny Cretin of a man. And the most abusive customer to my Balthazar servers since the restaurant opened 25 years ago,” the London native began his rant.

McNally shared that he wasn’t usually one to call out a customer but he had to speak up about the show host because of the way Corden had treated his staff.

Making things worse, the restauranter alleged that the British comedian had exhibited such nasty behavior in his former restaurant Cafe Luxembourg some years ago.

The restaurant owner went ahead to cite two instances where the “Cats” star had a hissy fit and was mean to his staff.

Pun intended.

Recalling his manager’s first report against Corden, McNally wrote, “In June, James Corden was here on table 61. (Although this is diabolical, it happens Very occasionally in all restaurants.) After eating his main course, Corden showed the hair to Balthazar manager G. who was very apologetic.”

He continued, “Corden was extremely nasty to G and said, “Get us another round of drinks this second. And also take care of all of our drinks so far. This way, I write any nasty reviews in yelp or anything like that.'”

The second incident happened earlier this month on October 9, when Corden visited Balthazar with his wife for brunch and asked for a table outside. His wife Julia Carey reportedly ordered an egg yolk omelette with gruyere cheese and salad.

McNally wrote, “A few minutes after they received the food, James called their server, M. K., and told her there was a little bit of egg white mixed with the egg yolk. M. K. informed the floor manager, G. The kitchen remade the dish but unfortunately sent it with home fries instead of salad.”

It was at that error that the 44-year-old “Gavin & Stacey” star lost it and yelled like crazy to the server, saying, “You can’t do your job! You can’t do your job! Maybe I should go into the kitchen and cook the omelette myself!”

McNally shared that the server reached for the manager, who came out to smooth things out, even offering them promo Champagne glasses.

Since the negative press surrounding Corden went viral, the talk-show host issued an apology.

McNally explained on Instagram, “aJmes Corden just called me and apologized profusely. Having fucked up myself more than most people, I strongly believe in second chances. So if James Corden lets me host his Late Late Show for 9 months, I’ll immediately rescind his ban from Balthazar. No, of course not. But....anyone magnanimous enough to apologize to a deadbeat layabout like me (and my staff) doesn’t deserve to be banned from anywhere. Especially Balthazar. So Come Back to the 5 & Dime, Jimmy Corden, Jimmy Corden. All is Forgiven. Xx.”
