Actress Katie Holmes got her breakout role as Joey on the teen series Dawson's Creek.

She then began transition to the big screen with roles in movies such as Wonder Boys, and Batman Begins.

Yet, like many celebrities, Holmes career was often overshadowed by her personal life.

The star has had a string of other celebrity suitors, and no one can forget her marriage to one of Hollywood's A-list stars.

These days Holmes is busy being a single mom to her daughter Suri, but we'll take a walk down memory lane at her past relationships.

Holmes first celebrity relationship was with actor Chris Klein.

Like Holmes, Klein was known for his teen roles. His most memorable role was as Oz in the American Pie movies.

Katie and Chris began dating in 2000 and they became the most popular couple with the teen crowd.

They become engaged in December 2003, however after almost a year later in the spring of 2005, they ended their engagement.

Fans were sad to see them break up. However, Katie didn't stay single for long, and her next boyfriend would create a lot of media attention.

In April 2005, just weeks after her split from Klein, Holmes began dating A-list actor Tom Cruise.

Tom and Katie caused a media frenzy from the moment they went public. Fans couldn't forget Cruise jumping on Oprah Winfrey's couch and declaring his love for Katie.

Weeks after they started dating, they became engaged. Not too long later, they announced they were expecting a baby.

The couple's daughter Suri was born in April 2006. They kept her hidden for the first few months before revealing her to the public via a Vanity Fair cover.

Tom and Katie tied the knot in November 2006 in a star-studded ceremony that featured guests such as Will Smith and David Beckham.

Throughout their marriage, Tom and Katie were plagued by rumors of marital problems and their disagreements over Scientology.

After five years of marriage, Katie filed for divorce in June 2012. In the divorce agreement, she would receive full custody of Suri.

Following her divorce from Tom Cruise, Holmes was rumored to be dating one of his friends.

Katie and actor Jamie Foxx were believed to have started dating sometime in 2013.

The couple never confirmed nor denied they were together, but the tabloids posted photos of them out on the town.

For years, everyone speculated on the status of Katie and Jamie's relationship.

The two finally confirmed they were a couple when they made their red carpet debut at the Met Gala in May 2019.

However, just four months later the couple split.

After her break up with Jamie Foxx, Katie has been mum on her love life.

However, that hasn't stopped the media from speculating on whether she has a new man in her life.

The recent reports going around suggest that she's involved with Jennifer Aniston's ex-husband.

No, it isn't Brad Pitt. It's Justin Theroux.

The tabloids have said that Katie and Justin are spending a lot of time together in New York City.

So far there hasn't been any photos of the two together, but the tabloids say the couple is getting serious.

Whether Katie and Justin are together, remains to be seen. For now, fans will have to wait and see if there's any truth to the stories.
