For the first time since splitting from Hasson Jameel, Rihannaspoke on her life post-breakup.
Rihanna and Jameel's relationship came out of nowhere when they began dating in 2016. They appeared to be from two different worlds but soon a romance blossomed from the total opposites. Their relationship lasted for nearly three years before the pair called it quits earlier in 2020.
Neither party has spoken on their split in the months that have followed. However, Rihanna decided to share what life has been post-breakup.
Rihanna told British Vogue in a March 30 interview how she came out of their relationship with a fresh perspective. Now, the entertainer has a “no-nonsense” attitude and is going for exactly what she wants.
“Since I turned 32, I’m realizing life is really short,” she stated. “You don’t have a lot of time to tolerate sh*t, you know? You put so much on your plate. When you’re overwhelmed, you need to start cutting things out. And I’m overwhelmed too much. What’s happening now is that I’m going back to black and white. My grey area is shutting down.”

Rather than jumping back into the dating scene, the Bajab beauty seemed to shift her full attention towards work, which includes her highly-anticipated ninth album and her beauty and fashion brands.
“I’m working like this now so that I don’t have to in the future,” she said.
During the interview, she was asked about the possibility of having children. She eventually wanted to live a happy life with “three or four” children — even if she doesn’t find that special someone.

When asked if she would ever have kids on her own, Rihanna replied, “Hell yeah.”
“I feel like society makes me want to feel like, ‘Oh, you got it wrong…’ They diminish you as a mother if there’s not a dad in your kids’ lives," she explained. "But the only thing that matters is happiness, that’s the only healthy relationship between a parent and a child."
The singer added, "That’s the only thing that can raise a child truly, is love."

When and where Rihanna and Jameel met has remained unclear. However, in December 2016, she was seen in London with a dark-haired man that many people believed was the business mogul. These sightings sparked dating rumors the following June when they were seen making out during a vacation to Ibiza, Spain.
The singer alluded to their relationship in a May 2018 interview with Vogue without confirming anything for months. She later told Sarah Paulson in a June 2019 chat for Interview magazine that she and Jameel were in fact in a relationship. Later the same year, she secretly left the United States and moved to London, where Jameel lives, even though it is unclear if the pair ever shared a home.

The couple's breakup came out of nowhere as things seemed to be going smoothly between, with some even speculating that the two were heading towards marriage.
But instead, the pair broke up, with Multiple outlets reporting that the Anti singer had recently split from her longtime beau.
Sources later told People that the split had to do with their conflicting lifestyles — which, ironically, was said to be what attracted them to each other in the first place. Even with this interview, it is hard to say what actually led to the end of their romance.
