It is going on 24 years since Tupac Shakur was shot and murdered in Las Vegas. Fans across the world mourned his death as they labeled him as an iconic revolutionary rap artist. His fellow rappers gave detailed stories about the memories they shared with the slain rapper. Family, friends and fans were in complete disbelief when the news on his death was reported. It caused devastating pain to his mother, immediate family and the woman he was planning on marrying; Kidada Jones.

Tupac and Kidada had gotten engaged only a few months prior to his death. They had developed a deep love for one another and their relationship is often ignored and unspoken in the films about Shakur. While Tupac was in the hospital trying to recover from the bullet wounds his mother, Kidada and others remained by his bedside. It has been reported that Tupac's mother Afeni Shakur and his fiance were the last two people to speak to the artist before he fell into a coma.

Prior to slipping in the coma that he would never regain consciousness from Kidada sat next to Tupac and expressed the amount of love that she had for him. In an interview Jones did with Vanity Fair back in 2013 the model spoke about the last moments she shared with her fiance. She recalled that while she was speaking about how much she loved him he let out a moan and the two locked eyes. She told him "Do you know we all love you?” in which he responded with a nod.

Tupac's last few moments of life were of his fiance reminding him that she along with everyone else had some much love for him. It is a devastating atmosphere to have to experience but it must have meant the world to them to spend those final moments together. In the interview Kidada said that after he nodded, she turned to walk out of the room and Shakur began having convulsions. This had been the last time she saw Tupac before his mother had advised the doctors to let him go.

The relationship between Kidada and Tupac did not have a smooth start. Shakur had made some comments about her music producer father Quincy Jones during an interview in 1993. While Kidada did not comment on his interview, her sister Rashida gave a hefty response back. In 1995, Tupac had first met Kidada inside of a club and when they met for a second time he had to apologized for his comments then gave her his phone number. It was only a matter of time until Tupac was expressing his love and desire to make Kidada his wife. Tupac was still married to his first wife Keisha Morris-Shakur but once that marriage was annulled, Tupac had proposed a few months later. They happily lived together and were in a committed relationship for months prior to his death. Kidada described Tupac as the love of her life in her father's autobiography. Jones has been working as a stylist for major fashion companies while also providing some modeling work as well.
