Bravo star James Kennedy has spoken out concerning his previous comments about "Southern Charm" not having any pretty girls. According to the DJ, he was referring to a different cast. Kennedy started as a cast member on "Vanderpump Rules" during season three of the show as far back as 2015.

The reality star was reportedly caught criticizing the appearance of his fellow Bravo stars on the first day of BravoCon. Kennedy apparently said that he didn't particularly think any woman on "Southern Charm" was pretty and revealed he didn't know why people thought Shep Rose was "cute."

In a pre-taped "Watch What Happens Live: Charming House Rules" episode, Kennedy talked about his previous comments about the girls on the "Southern Charm" cast and claimed he was referring to a different set of cast members.

The episode was aired at the New York Javits Center on Saturday night, and Kennedy initially seemed reluctant to talk about the issue. The DJ explained per Page Six, "First of all, I was mistaken by shows because obviously there's a lot of pretty girls on ["Southern Charm"]."

The "Vanderpump Rules" star's comment didn't seem to satisfy Andy Cohen, the show's host, least of all the booing crowd. The host attempted to probe Kennedy for more answers; however, the reality star seemed adamant about not saying anything, which he symbolized by waving his finger and doing exactly that.

After a beat of silence on his end, Kennedy told the show's audience that he had taken back the rude no "pretty girls"  statement he made previously. Cohen, however, seemed interested in finding out the precise show the reality star was actually referring to.

Kennedy was having none of it and simply said, "I don't remember! I don't remember!" The show host soon turned his attention to Venita Aspen, a cast of "Southern Charm." She revealed that she was "very disappointed" in Kennedy for his comments.

The DJ's previous comments didn't just stop at the girls in the reality show; Kennedy notably criticized Rose's looks. During the "WWHL" show, Rose responded in kind and, while defending himself and the rest of the "Southern Charm" cast, told Kennedy that he "looks 80."

On Friday, Page Six reported that Kennedy had some words to say about the looks of his fellow reality stars. A spy from the news outlet revealed that the DJ, along with his friends and girlfriend Ally Lewber were at the Gansevoort Meatpacking Hotel in New York, and Kennedy was heard discussing the cast of "Southern Charm."

The source revealed he said he had "never even thought a pretty girl was on 'Southern Charm'" to his friends. The reality star also notably talked about Rose and revealed that he did not understand why most people thought the "Southern Charm" star was good-looking.

A friend responded that it was probably because Rose was "old"; however, Kennedy insisted that he was also old. The DJ recently clocked 30 years, while Rose is currently 42. The friend responded, "Yeah, but you're in your prime."

BravoCon made its highly anticipated return on Friday, October 14, after staying away for two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The event initially kicked off in 2019, from November 15 to 17, and was a huge success.

It had almost 10,000 guests who enjoyed over 50 live events, as well as appearances from Bravo stars from shows like "Vanderpump Rules," "The Real Housewives," "Summer House" and several others. BravoCon was originally set to hold in 2020 but got postponed, and a year later, the producers announced that the event was moved to 2022 due to the ongoing pandemic.

This year's iteration was held in New York in the Javits Center and included a lot of events for Bravo fans to enjoy. The fans, however, reportedly had a tough first day and, at some point, likened the event to the infamous Fyre Festival scandal.
