"It's almost time…" Carey penned alongside a photo of her iconic red dress spread on the tiles by the steps of an exquisite-looking bathtub in a bathroom. The room was warmly lit, with the yellow lights bouncing off the tiles while a bouquet of flowers was in a vase at the tub's edge. There was also a box of flowers at the mouth of the tub, expertly arranged to form the singer's initials' MC.'

In the following thread, captioned "but…." Carey shared a video of herself backing the camera and in the bathtub filled with lather. The magnificent room was brightly lit with the windows drawn, highlighting more details of the classy decor. As the 53-year-old sat in the tub, a tune could be heard playing, which she signaled to stop by wagging her finger, after which a clicking sound came up.

A concluding video captioned "not yet" follows the thread in which she is still in the tub but facing the camera and smiling. A clump of bath foam also covers her chest, almost touching her chin and blonde tresses. A child's voice could be heard saying, "We want to listen to "All I Want,' possibly referring to Carey's chart-topping hit "All I Want for Christmas Is You."

The singer-songwriter replied using a singsong voice, "Not yet." She was also smiling before blowing her bath froth toward the screen. The tot was not deterred but went on to ask, "Well, can we at least decorate the tree?" Carey gave the same "Not yet" response but in a more restraining voice. She kept smiling but then turned away from the camera while the child wondered aloud, "Why not?" sounding discouraged.

It may not be time for Christmas yet, but the record producer is always making moves for the season, in including personalizing the Queen of Christmas name. The Blast reported that not many were taken with the trademark idea, including fellow holiday vocalists Darlene Love and Elizabeth Chan, who expressed their displeasure.

Fans would recall that Carey gained the unofficial title years ago as the Queen of Christmas, given the significant success of her single "All I Want for Christmas Is You." In March 2022, there were reports about her applying to have the name officially, which was later made public in July.

A month after the application went public, Love and Chan slammed Carey for trying to exploit the holiday, with Chan filing a formal declaration opposing the "Fantasy" singer's trademark.

In an interview with Variety Magazine, the "Ghost of Christmas Past" songstress maintained that Carey's trademark plan was not the right thing to do since the season is for everyone and not meant to be owned. On the other hand, Love called herself the actual Queen of Christmas, given that she was named so a year before Carey released her Christmas anthem.

Mariah Carey Sued For Copyright Infringement Of "All I Want for Christmas Is You"

"All I Want for Christmas Is You" may have gained Carey the massive success every entertainment star covets, but it also cost her a lawsuit filed by a songwriter, Andy Stone, in June.

The Blast reported that Stone, a singer, and frontman of Vince Vance & the Valiants, filed a copyright infringement in the New Orleans federal court, requesting for $20 million minimum in damages.

The lawsuit accused Carey, Sony Corporation of America, Sony Music Entertainment, and her co-writer Walter Afanasieff of taking advantage of Stone's "popularity and unique style."

He also claimed that his version was more or less popular and received an "extensive airplay" during the 1993 Christmas season, causing it to start "making appearances on the Billboard Music Charts."

The frontman further disclosed that he tried to reach an understanding with the "Butterfly" songstress and her co-defendants back in April 2020, but that was unsuccessful.
