Since the beginning of her appearances on 90 Day Fiance, Nicole Nafziger has sparked controversy with fiance Azan Tefou. The couple has appeared on multiple seasons of the show, but they have yet to marry in spite of multiple attempts.
Recently, Nicole implied she was taking a trip to Morocco, and she is seemingly trapped there with Azan now because of the spread of COVID-19. Nicole's followers were upset by what they saw for a few reasons, including the fact that she had left her daughter for a long period of time to make this trip.

Nicole's mother, Robbalee, recently responded to Instagram followers regarding their concerns. In one comment, Robbalee wrote, " . . . please remember you are not in my shoes, it's easy to say do this or do that but you do not have any skin in this process."
A lot of Nicole's followers have been worried that she is being used by Azan, and they also think that Nicole may be defenseless against these types of tactics. They call on Nicole's family to step in, but clearly she is an adult.

Some people on Instagram have brought up that they think Nicole is being taken advantage of, and they have wondered if Nicole's family feels the same way. Robbalee commented, ". . . I have also said he seems like a really nice person. The world is full of loafers, all over the world[.] The only difference is he is a [non-working] boyfriend in another country, we have them here too."
Robbalee also apparently seems to confirm that Nicole is indeed in Morocco, even though many followers have speculated she was only pretending to be with Azan.

Robbalee also seems to confirm that Nicole's daughter, May, is still at home. She commented, "Thank you for your concern! May is doing great!" In the past, Nicole has sometimes taken May with her to Morocco. On past episodes of the show, Nicole even mentioned that she and May might move to Morocco if Azan is unable to get a visa to come to the United States. To this day, Azan has been unable to secure a visa, and he and Nicole have yet to wed.

Still, Nicole's followers had a lot to say on a picture that Nicole said was taken March 14th. One said "How much you paid him to smile? 6k? Guessing no wedding only lies."
Another said, "Girl go home to your daughter! She should be the most important person during this crisis! This is so [cringey]." It is clear that many people familiar with Nicole's story have a lot to say about her actions, many of which viewers have deemed financially and ethically irresponsible.
