Speaking to TMZ, Elvira shared that she was not surprised that Madonna is gay. She premised her lack of surprise on the fact that the singer had always been expressive about her sexual fluidity. As a cherry on the cake, Elvira shared that Madonna had hit on her girlfriend in time past.

The famous "Mistress of the Dark" shared how happy she was that the music icon decided to come out and that she understood how daunting it was. She also shared that it must have been a relief for the 64-year-old star.

Elvira herself has only just recently revealed her two-decade-old lesbian relationship in 2021. She made this revelation in her book "Yours Cruelly, Elvira: Memoirs of the Mistress of the Dark." She gushed about how great life has been since then and how freeing it is to live her truth finally. She also encouraged others to do the same and come out of the closet, just as Madonna did.

The TikTok video that has the internet in a chokehold featured the "Like A Virgin" singer throwing a panty into a trash can. The caption of the post read, "If I miss, I'm Gay!" Then, in the video, she missed her target, shrugged indifferently, and walked away.

Her revelation brought about mixed reactions. "We are witnessing herstory," a TikTok user wrote excitedly. "Did I just witness Madonna coming out, good for her," another wrote. While some users were excited for the "Material Girl" singer, others accused her of queerbaiting and using the LGBTQ community to grow her online presence. "It's just a trend queer baiters do to get attention," a user wrote dismissively.

In a bid to defend the singer from the queerbaiting allegations, fans brought up Madonna's history of support for the LGBTQ community.

The "Vogue" singer has always been a fierce advocate for LGBTQ rights. Spotlighting her advocacy for the LGBTQ community, she won the 'Advocate for Change Award' at the 30th GLAAD Awards in 2019. "Fighting for all marginalized people is a duty and an honor I could not turn my back on, nor will I ever," she said in a heartfelt manner while giving her acceptance speech.

Per Newsweek, Madonna said that the AIDS epidemic took out all her friends. During her GLAAD acceptance speech, she also talked about how the fear of the disease caused people to take all kinds of drugs that only ended up "killing them faster." Thus, she started making drug runs to Mexico to procure medicine that salvaged the effects of the disease. She saw a need, and she rose to the occasion.

Madonna is not a stranger to the LGBTQ community, and while her fans wait for her to explain her cryptic TikTok adequately, we can be certain that the singer is on good terms with the community and is at least a powerful ally.

Is Madonna Bisexual?

Speculations about Madonna's sexual preference arose in 1990 after she released a raunchy video for her song "Justify My Love," as reported by Newsweek. "I won't say I have never slept with a woman but….I love men," Madonna said in an interview,

Although the decorated singer had been married twice in the past to Sean Penn and Guy Ritchie, she has held no secrets about her sexual identity. "Everybody has a bisexual nature," she said in an interview in 1991.

Hints at Madonna's bisexual nature emerged again when Madonna kissed Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera onstage at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards.

Madonna's subtle bisexual reveal in her TikTok video should not come as such a shock to fans, as she has hinted at it several times in the past.
