Because the stars are such best friends, they find it hard to play romantic partners in the film. During a joint sit-down with TodayRoberts explained that they had to develop on-screen romantic chemistry for "Ticket to Paradise."

She also revealed that there was a kiss scene which was very difficult to achieve. "It took 79 takes of us laughing and then the one take of us kissing," she said. Roberts also added that it was "kinda ridiculous" to "kiss your best friend" on set. In response, Clooney jokingly said, "Well, thanks for that. You know I was a two-time 'Sexiest Man Alive?'"

Roberts shared that she decided to give the rom-com a shot after years of taking a break from the big screen. However, she only wanted to do the movie if her bestie agreed to star with her, so she told the studio, "this only works if it's George Clooney."

The actress said she was excited to hear that Clooney felt the same way about starring in the film and they were "both able to do it." The actress also revealed that she would be starring in more films with Clooney in the future as he has plans for them. "He can't live without me on screen."
