Emma D’Arcy And Olivia Cooke’s Interview
A recent HBO Max clip released on the network’s TikTok page sent the entire internet into a frenzy and immensely increased the popularity of the Negroni sbagliato cocktail. The video showed a short excerpt from Cooke and D’Arcy’s interview where the co-stars seemed to be in lighthearted conversation.
During a Q & A interview, the “Bates Motel” star reportedly asked D’Arcy their “drink of choice,” and their next few words had a startling effect on viewers. D’Arcy first revealed that they preferred “A Negroni,” and after a pause added “Sbagliato.” The real icing on the cake was when they leaned forward and said in a slightly lower voice, “With prosecco in it.”
Cooke responded by calling the cocktail choice “stunning” and revealed that she was more of a gin martini type of person. She said, “I am actually really fond, as in my old age, of a gin martini with a twist. I think it’s very elegant. Gets me really pissed. I can only do two; then I feel sick.”

Emma D’Arcy Didn’t Watch ‘Game Of Thrones’
While talking to Interview Magazine, D’Arcy revealed they had not watched “Game of Thrones” before their “House of the Dragon” audition. The 30-year-old explained that not knowing about the show probably helped them get their current role because they would have performed poorly otherwise.
“I hadn’t seen it before I auditioned, which I honestly think is the only reason I’m able to do the job,” they said. “There’s no way I’d have made it through the audition process if, at that time, I had the love for the show that I have now. I think I’d have buckled under the pressure.”
They explained that they had heard about the show but just neglected to watch it that time. “It came at the ideal time, actually, in the run-up to finally shooting.”
D’Arcy continued, “I’ve read the book that relates to the work we’re making, Fire & Blood. Not least because it’s very exciting to read ahead and get spoilers on your own story, highly recommend that.”
