Fans will recall that the late star was taken off life support a few months ago after being involved in a motor accident that resulted in a fire. According to court documents detailed by Daily Mail, the late actress's wealth amounted to a whole lot less than what she was believed to be worth.

According to the filings, the "Hung" star's son estimated that the value of all her personal properties would amount to approximately $400,000. The stated amount has nothing to do with royalties and residuals from all her work which he expects to be another $400,000 annually.

Homer, who was appointed temporary administrator over her estate, also shared that she lived in an apartment, did not own a house and went ahead to provide a vague list of what his mother owned.

Apart from being granted the power to handle the estate, the young man had been in court against his late mother's ex-boyfriend James Tupper over his half-brother Atlas. An LA judge dealt a massive blow to the Canadian actor by denying his petition to be appointed legal guardian to his and late Heche's 13-year-old son.

This was not acceptable to the 57-year-old as he showed his frustration by shaking his head and placing his hands in his pocket, which caused an outburst from the presiding judge, causing him to snap, "Don't you shake your head at me – and take your hands out of your pockets."

Nevertheless, the judge gave the "Big Little Lies" star's attorney till October 20 to file an objection and then scheduled another hearing on November 30.

Heche's son also had to address estrangement rumors started by the ex-boyfriend. The Blast reported that things took a heated turn during the battle for the late actress's estate between them.

Homer came forward to lay tabloid reports to rest after the "Aftermath" actor claimed that he and his late mother were at odds during her death because "he dropped out of university studies and refused to work to support himself." The 20-year-old called the allegations vile and insisted he maintained a close and active relationship with the "Save Me" star.

In August, The Blast shared that the late Broadway star, surrounded by loved ones, would finally be laid to rest amongst fellow Hollywood icons. Her boys, Homer and Atlas, picked the burial site and released a statement through ET that the "Another World" actress would be kept in a crypt at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery surrounded by her celebrity peers. The statement read:

"My brother Atlas and I want to thank Tyler, Noelle, and all the amazing people at Hollywood Forever for their kindness, compassion, and generosity of spirit. We are convinced our mom would love the site we have chosen for her; it's beautiful, serene, and she will be among Hollywood peers."
