Little Women: LA star Christy McGinity’s 2-week old baby daughter has died after being born 7-weeks early, The Blast has learned.
According to a statement by McGinity and her boyfriend, Gonzalo Justo Carazo, “It is with our deepest sorrow that we send our baby girl Violet Eva Carazo to play with the angels. We were able to spend two weeks with our sweet baby girl and for that, we are forever thankful.”
It continued, “Please respect our privacy during this difficult time. Your thoughts and prayers are very much appreciated.”
The couple shared a heartbreaking photo of little baby Violet’s feet in her mother’s hand along with details of her birth. Violet Eva Carazo was born on March 6, 2020, and weighed 3 lbs and 15 oz. The couple says the baby was born at 33 weeks, which made her seven weeks early.
The ‘Little Women’ star shared pregnancy news with her fans on social media leading up to the birth, including the big announcement and even a sonogram picture.
“I’m so excited that we are having a baby. What a big blessing. Good things come to those who wait,” the reality star wrote on Instagram, next to a photo of her baby bump. “Our bundle of joy is coming April 2020,” she added.
The reality star’s boyfriend shared a picture of the baby growing inside Christy’s belly with the message, “Our beautiful baby girl’s ultrasound. Experiencing this entire journey has taught me a lot about life and has opened up my eyes ?? on how magical this journey of becoming a first-time parent really is ?. I can’t wait to meet our baby girl!”
A week before Violet’s birth, the reality star documented a night out with her boyfriend telling fans she has been through a “rough few weeks.”
She suffered from early contractions, and shared the news on Instagram in February, saying, “She is not ready. Please pray that contractions stop.”
