Two words, “Yang Gang”. Wow, between Senator Sanders policies and Andrew Yangs assertions, these two could be the ultimate team. Everything they desired to prevent or prophesized would happen, has, and it’s quite enlightening. What’s fantastic about the two presidential past competitors is how authentic they have remained through such a hard time. Not once have they swayed too far in any particular direction. The fact that as of right now Sanders is focusing all of his precious energy and time towards assisting those most affected by Coronavirus is admirable.
While dropping in to have a comfortable conversation with “The Breakfast Club” Andrew Yang went into detail about his plan to give one million dollars to the people of New York most affected by this unforeseen crisis. It’s so unbelievable to think right now that most if not all Americans are without work, without childcare, and not attending school. This really is some movie esque type of reality. Even after 9/11 people still could band together and live life out and about.
Andrew Yang explained how he felt about the U.S. enforcing “stay home” types of regulations. Popular radio personality Charlamagne tried to make a case for the federal government to infringe on civilians rights, and he hasn’t been the only famous figure to lean towards this way of thinking. But, it just simply isn’t and shouldn’t be how Americans handle dire situations. Andrew Yang’s opinion swayed in that path of thought. He explained how he understands the frustrations of those who can’t understand why people are still gathering while there’s a pandemic arising, but also how having the military enforcing certain things isn’t how we wish to live either.
Now, if Andrew Yang can find the money through past donations and other facets to help disenfranchised people, why can’t the government? Talk over these checks that should be coming in April still seems drenched in obscurity. Although President Trump has made this sound like a sure thing time and again, people are still feeling insecure about their financial standing. Since we are in economic turmoil, what’s the plan to get us out of it? How are we going to “Make America Great Again”.
Mitch McConnell recently tried to push some sort of plan through but found it to be rejected by most if not all Democrats. The plan was seen as a huge payout for major corporations and didn’t seem to benefit in the least, and of the Americans who are actually suffering . What’s sad on both sides is the idea that even during a cataclysmic event like this, there’s this level of “our side”, “your side”. Well, Washington we don’t have any time for that so get your act together.
