Lizzo To Kanye West: 'I'm Minding My Fat Black Beautiful Business!'

Lizzo continues to take the high road despite the recent hateful remarks that have been made about her body. The "Truth Hurts" was recently the target of harsh comments from rapper Kanye West during his interview with Tucker Carlson.

In the controversial sit-down with the conservative television host, the rapper took a jab at Lizzo's body for no apparent reason. Now, Lizzo is clapping back in her own way!

During his Thursday interview with Carlson, Kanye brought up Lizzo unprovoked while sharing his thoughts about America following the intense backlash he faced for wearing "White Lives Matter" shirts at Paris Fashion Week.

"Lizzo works with my trainer, a friend of mine," Ye said during the interview. "When Lizzo loses ten pounds and announces it, the bots — that’s a term for telemarketers on the internet — the bots they attack her because the media wants to put out a perception that being overweight is the new goal when it’s actually unhealthy."

The Yeezy founder seemingly attacked the body positivity movement, saying, "Let’s put aside that it’s fashion and Vogue, which it’s not, or if someone thinks it’s attractive, to each his own, it’s actually clinically unhealthy. And for people to promote that, it’s demonic."

It’s unsure where Ye got the facts about Lizzo being slammed for losing ten pounds but the internet wasn’t kind to him about his remarks. Many bashed him for his "disgusting" comment.

One fan wrote on Twitter, "Kanye talking about Lizzo’s weight when he had weight loss surgery is crazy. Lizzo is out here just minding her business and making people happy. I hope she’s having a great night."

Another user lamented, "Kanye West is breathing hard in this interview like he is out of breath from just speaking. yet lizzo plays a flute, sings, raps, and dances on stage for one hour at her shows. Fatphobia turns the average asshole into a dietician."

Lizzo, who is not one to attack or slam people on social media, decided to tell her truth in her own unique way! Over the weekend, she had a venue-packed concert in Canada as part of her "It’s About Damn Time" tour.

In a snippet of the performance, the "Cuz I Lov You" songstress touched on the topic while addressing her fans. In her words, "I feel like everybody in America got my motherf***ing name in they motherf***ing mouth for no motherf***ing reason." The crowd cheered loudly as she gave her statement.

She continued, "I’m minding my fat black beautiful business! Can I stay here? [in Toronto] Who can I marry for that dual citizenship?" Lizzo’s joke was well received by her audience, who cheered louder as she spoke. In a separate Instagram post, the "Lizzo’s Watch Out for the Big Grrrls" host" shared a snippet from her show where the words "My Body My Choice" were projected on the screen.

Fans serenaded the comments section with praises for the Grammy Award winner. One fan wrote, "PERIOD!!! Don’t let nobody with baby momma issues and an overbite talk about your body!!

The debacle with Kanye comes days after Lizzo made history when she played the late President James Madison’s antique flute from the Library of Congress. The historical musical instrument was saved by late First Lady Dolly Madison after the "White House had been set on fire by British troops in 1814."

Lizzo played the instrument in Washington D.C., and days after the legendary moment, she received another honor when she was given an "open invitation" from President Madison’s Montpelier Estate to "take a private tour of Madison’s estate and even put on a performance during her visit."

Per reports, the late president’s estate is eager to have the Michigan native play the iconic crystal flute again.
