What started as an unknown illness in Wuhan, China, has now become a global concern with people doing everything possible not to become victims of the coronavirus outbreak. The World Health Organization already declared it a worldwide pandemic, and states are taking measures to ease the spread as well as seeking assistance to contain the menace.
The U.S. continues to get hit by the deadly outbreak, and the government is seeking the help of health professionals and notably Kylie Jenner’s support too.
Kylie Jenner boasts of over 164 million following on social media, and this could be quite beneficial to the world amid the coronavirus pandemic. According to the Surgeon General of the U.S., Jerome Adams, influencers will help a lot when it comes to spreading the gospel of social distancing and the responsible actions people need to take while trying to fight the virus.
Jerome was speaking in ‘Good Morning America,’ where he cited Kylie Jenner as an example of the influencers who would assist in spreading the word.
As reported by NBC News, some millennials are taking advantage of the current situation and taking spring breaks, given that the outbreak has brought the cost of flights down. Jerome Adams expressed that he hopes the generation will take time to listen and comprehend that they are exposing themselves to danger.
In an interview with GMA, Adams said that social media influencers such as Kylie Jenner need to get out there and help people understand that the outbreak is severe and that people are dying.
Kylie Jenner is the youngest of the popular Kardashian Jenner family sisters. She is the youngest, wealthiest, and has a massive social media following, which places her as a significant influencer. However, all of the Kardashian Jenner sisters seem to have already been on what Adams recommended long before he talked about it.
Just a few days ago, Kylie Jenner tweeted urging people to quarantine and terming it as so necessary. The makeup mogul noted that failing to isolate was exposing oneself to risks, as well as risking spreading the virus to others.
i hope everyone is feeling well! it’s so important right now to self quarantine to ensure we aren’t endangering ourselves or anyone who can’t handle this virus 🤍
