GG Magree Announced The Project On Social Media
Magree recently posted about the project on Instagram with a carousel of snaps. One of the slides includes a description of the new documentary. "The executive said the best way to describe the film is 'The Craft' meets 'The Simple Life,' noting the antics that Hudgens and Magree get into together." The slide also explained other projects Bunim Murray Productions are known for including "The Real World," "Road Rules," "Keeping Up With The Kardashians," and more.
The post received many comments from her followers expressing excitement for the project. "Sooooo ready!!!!!," "Couldn’t be more excited omfg," "YESSSSSSSSS," "Let’s go baby," and many other positive sentiments filled the comment section.
The 90-minute documentary is described as "an intimate journey into the supernatural realm" on the film's official Instagram page, where the official poster can also be seen. The two friends recently wrapped the eight-day journey in Salem, and the film is currently in post production and being shopped to outlets.
Vanessa Hudgens "Accepted The Fact That I See Things And I Hear Things"
According to Variety, Hudgens, 33, and Magree are both self-taught students of witchcraft and have been experimenting with the spirit world for many years. After a situation during an experience in North California, the two realized they needed to seek out proper training and mentorship, taking camera along on their magical journey.
During an appearance on "The Kelly Clarkson Show" earlier in the year, Hudgens told host Kelly Clarkson that she's had some experience with spiritual beings over the years and that she's "accepted the fact that I see things and I hear things." "I remember getting ready for school when I was 8-years-old and there was...you know those ducks [toys] that you pull [the string]? There was one of those on the dining room table, and I started walking, and it just started going alongside me," she said. "I kind of shut it down for a while because it's scary. The unknown is scary. But recently I was like, 'No, this is a gift and something that I have the ability to do, so I'm going to lean into it.'"
The actress also told Clarkson that she uses a "spirit box" to help her analyze "radio frequencies really quickly." "Something about the electricity that it creates allows spirits to speak through it," she explained.
Vanessa Hudgens Opened Up About Her Experiences With Spirits In The Past
The "High School Musical" alum also spoke to PEOPLE back in 2011 about her experiences with spirits while filming "Journey 2: The Mysterious Island" in North Wilmington, North Carolina. Hudgens recalled hearing footsteps while on location, noting that North Wilmington is "one of the oldest, most haunted places in North America." "I was chasing around my ghost for like 10 minutes solid, and then it got way too freaky, and I just left," she said. "I feel like she might have lost a husband at war and she's waiting for her man to come back to her. It was definitely a female spirit. I could tell."
