Sofia Vergara's Jaw-Dropping 90's Throwback 100% Cheers Instagram Up

Sofia Vergara was just what the doctor ordered today. The 47-year-old actress seemed to pick the perfect shot to cheer Instagram up – the doom and gloom of coronavirus may bring Cardi B's "Sh*t is getting real" as an iTunes chart remix, but the reality of COVID-19 is no joke as the global death toll hits 10,000.

Sofia updated her account on Thursday with a hashtag that was unrelated to the novel coronavirus. The "Modern Family" actress was honoring Instagram's #ThrowbackThursay, although for fans of the Colombian, the red hot image may have entered #ThirstyThursday territory.

Sofia's photo showed her for the '90s bombshell that she was – then again, the new "America's Got Talent" judge has hardly lost it. The snap saw the Latina on the red carpet and at a premiere (and she was definitely dressed for it).

Photographed in profile and looking like a supermodel, Sofia wore a cut-out and jaw-dropping black dress with a racy halterneck finish and daring thigh-high slit, flaunting both her long legs and her slender torso as she stood smiling with her long hair worn down. High heels elongated the actress' killer legs, with the overall look being a knockout one.

The update appears to have proven a hit. Over 111,000 likes were clocked within two hours of the post going live – many, it seemed, had paid attention to Vergara's caption.

"#tbt Premios Lo Nuestro? @univision #The90’s❤️❤️," she had written.

"WOW!!!!!" one fan wrote.

"Manolo!" another exclaimed as the image had shown the star's son with her.

"This could literally be a photo of yesterday" was another comment.

"THAT DRESS" was another comment, although the bulk of users did appear to remark on how little the sitcom star has changed over the years.

Sofia says it like it is. While the star rocked up to the "America's Got Talent" set in a $27 pair of Walmart jeans recently (from her range with the retail giant), she will admit to being a glam queen. An interview with Red Book Mag saw Sofia confess that her beauty prep is a lengthy one.

"An hour and 15 minutes. I take my time—I like showering, scrubbing, bubbling. Everyone is always rushing me! They'll lie about when an event starts to try to get me there on time. But I always know, so I don't give a damn," she stated.

An honest star is always refreshing. Sofia's age-defying looks continue to see the magazines waiting in line to interview her – a 2019 feature with Health saw Sofia confess to testing out popular health trends, but it likewise saw her reveal she's clueless about what they actually do.

"Staying hydrated is the most important part of any beauty routine, and sparkling is a great way to mix things up," she said.

"I add, like, a spoon of powdered collagen to chamomile tea at night—I don’t know what that does [laughs] but I do it!" Sofia added.
